On a whim, I petitioned Blizzard about restoring my Ghost Hydra and Croco-Slime (I'd abandoned both in wotlk to have room for other pets.) I logged on today and both pets were waiting in my stables. Woot!

Grats! You've got me to make my own ticket regarding them now, wish me luck.

Make sure you remember the name of the pet, and the name of the NPC you tamed, and you should get them back.

Sorry =/ I'm really hopeful we get the entire hydra line as a family. I didn't post meaning to promote jealousy, just excited that I was able to get them back after so long.

Not so much that. Here. Try not to take offense to Cer's post. Cer had a ghost hydra but I guess when she moved servers, the data was lost and Blizzard can't restore it.

Grats! I have been unable to get mine restored even though I've sent in a few tickets and I feel really embarrassed asking over and over lol, so I'm just waiting til hydras are released. That's awesome you got yours back though~

i am male and my toon is male lol
and it wasnt servers it was accounts.

happy for you but still sad that when i petitioned a gm about my crocoslime they first told me to "just go tame a new one" followed by telling me that there is no record of me having tamed one on my account.

Congrats on getting your ghost hydra restored! I, unfortunately, was not able to have the same thing done for me after petitioning and re-petitioning the GMs in game. I bugged them so much, they actually knew who I was and why I was constantly asking them why they could NOT restore my GH. Their (repeated) reasoning for being unable to do so is that 1) it had been over a year since the GH was deleted from my stable and 2) it was a pet that was flagged as being currently untameable. Yeah, I was NOT happy about this but really, I will do what others have done and just wait until GH's are tameable once again in the (hopeful) future.
Again, congrats on the restoration, that is an AWESOME pet!

This explains why I seen a White Hydra then! The hunter must of had it when it was tameable and so he was able to keep it.

Congrats to you! Though put me in the camp of those who can't get theirs back anymore and is a little jealous

Grats on getting back your Ooze, I saw you running around with him the other night that must have been after you got him back. Grats Man!!

Congrats on the return of your pets.
Very few hunters see the return of their pet after they have deleted them, accidentally or otherwise, so concider yourself very lucky.

However, this makes me wonder, is it really possible for blizzard to see if you deleted a pet that long ago?
How long do they keep such data? If you have them back, maybe I can get back mine as well.

not sure how long they keep data, i guess it also depends on other info like switching servers, gender or fraction. I got my ghost leopard back after like 2 years or more i think.

Blizz restored my ghost hydra too!

Everything went better than I expected. Had to wait 30 mins for ticket and GM restored my hydra

Named it Mercury, as my radio was playing Dont Stop Me Now by Queen when I found my Hydra in Stables.
