as soon as woke up this morning i went on the test realm and checked to see what the new patch had given us and here they are...


I am keeping the red one naming her Cinder.

I was just on MMO-Champ and someone pointed out the spiders. Gonna get over my fear of spiders and grab one when stuff comes out live...BOO common black Madexx model though. Either give him a new colour or we're gonna run outta reasons to camp for Madexx really soon. )=

You're not the only one. I won't be surprised if they make blue a common skin as well but I guess some people will be happy with the change of a common black riding scorpid skin. I just hope blue and green don't become common as well. They were the two colors I waited the longest for. ><

Oooo, very happy to see that the spiders are tamable. One of those will be replacing my lava tarantula!

The spiders look yummy. And I understand people are miffed over Madexx' skin being put in common npc's, but I think it's nice to see.
I will gladly pick up the brown common one when Xie is high enough

It just makes me wonder. Why not just make his variables blue and green now? I suppose it merely makes it all the more challenging though. It adds to the fun for me. It just brings up questions about practicality.

i got my green one so im happy.... make it a common spawn? well id be a tad disapointed but he still looks really cool.

I'm SO sorry red Madexx (who I have not yet named) I completely forgot there was even a red one around, and I've tamed it. It's on the first page of my stabled pets. >.> Oopsies.

Meh, I don't get why so many people get so miffed over this ordeal... If you have Madexx b/c you like the skin (which I personally prefer old-world skins), then I don't see a reason to complain, if you tamed him because you camp rares, you'll still know yours is rare (like my Humar, idc if others think it's Pitch, I know that he's not), and if you camped him b/c he's a unique rare, well, release him and get another unique rare, It's not that huge of a deal, especially b/c if you camp unique rares for your entire stable, you get used to the camps, and learn how, when, and what to camp...

This. Seriously people, let's not get into this again. We've only just started to stop freaking out the very SECOND Brown Madexx gets mentioned.. I don't think we really need another shitstorm of hating on Madexx just for having common versions of the skin/model.

Anyway.. I'm actually quite happy to see a Black Madexx as a common mob! I wouldn't mind picking one up myself, to be honest.. Though none will ever get close to replacing my amazing Brown Madexx <3 And eee! The spiders! Want!

It may be more irritating to those who see it as Blizzard bending to those who merely want a skin but don't want to camp for it. They see it as going through all the work to get it at the price of waiting for hours on end only to have it handed out for free. As much as I would like to see pets that are a CHALLENGING tame I've lost the taste for rares for the most part unless they're few and far between. Rares have a tendancy to become the most common pets found mainly because a majority of people either like the skin or think that they will be set apart in some way. Back when Krush was hard to get I was literally the only one on the server to have him. It was literally a few days passing that after the nerf to tame beast, people began popping up all over with him. At that point I just let it slide from my mind in terms of being upset he was so easily nabbed after that. In my mind the next expansion would make him just as easily obtainable due to the increase in health and level cap so why worry or get upset? People have every right to get the pixels they want, and there's no worth in getting upset over it in the least bit.

Yup. Agreed.

Honestly, I've camped Madexx, never got the color I wanted. Now I can! And yes, I'm thrilled. I don't really mind if it's not super shiny rare, why? Well between having 100 something dailies to do, other mounts to finish collecting, other minipets to get, heroics and then finally raid obligations.... it was one pet I really wanted for the skin, not so much the rare tag.

Oh god.. spiders... they're such nice models, but I still don't like spiders. and I know EVERYONE is gonna tame one so I'm gonna get all "o.o eeeee" all day now, haha!

now if we can just convince blizzard to give us the skeletal fiery dogs or firehawks.....

I agree to this so much. I don't really have much to say at this time, though. I'd gladly pick up the green madexx on an alt if it were a common. I like the skin, period.
