Glyph Wist List

Now I know there are a fair few number of wish lists going around, but I don't recall a Glyph wish list yet.

I myself on occasion have thought to myself, OoOOooo I wish we had a Glyph that would do X, Y or Z.
Anyone else think that they have had a good idea? Here’s the place! :)

For me, when I was a Survival Hunter I always wished there was a glyph that would take the Poison off Wyvern Sting. Weather it would increase/decrease the time of the "sleep" portion of the sting or reduce/increase the cool down, I always thought it would be great as then you could scatter or drop a trap underneath the mob and it would not then break on the 1st tick.

I would love a Glyph that could possibly heal your pet by "X" amount of you damage while your in AOTV, similar to that of the 2 piece bonus of the rift stalker set. If a draw back was needed, maybe you or your pets haste was reduced by 25% or something while it was active.

I've always wanted a glyph for Tame Beast.

"You no longer lose 100% of your armor while taming."

Or

Damage taken while casting Tame Beast is reduced 50%.

I'm probably going to be running around in haste cloth looking like a huntard as it is chasing after Krush..

For me it's more like, fix Mend Pet glyph, and combine the happiness of the minor and that of the health boost to the major, but make it a minor glyph seeing as it's not op for anything tbh.

OOO MOAR HEALING AND HAPPINEZ.

Or oo oo a glyph that's like a Warlock or DK glyph.

Your pet receives 20% of your attack power and 35% of your stamina or vice versa or, Your cunning pets receive an additional XX percent bonus to their special abilities or Your Ferocity pet cooldown of Call of the Wild is reduced by 1 minute or Your Tenacity Pet's Thunderstomp does additional damage and or threat and or the cooldown is lowered by 2 seconds.

I can dream.

I'd like a better "taming" glyph too...

Glyph of Taming - Duration needed to channel Tame Pet spell decreased by half.

Or maybe it increases your ability to resist stun/fear/status effects while performing tame pet. Or maybe if pet dies from another source during the taming process, the tame completes instantly... *cough* KRUSH *Cough*

And Ryai, I could definitely see Warlock's pet healing goodness (or maybe its a talent) where a percentage of damage done heals the pet. It'd probably keep pets alive longer in PvP (and soloing for the times I'm terribly impatient with a kill quest and decide to finish it all in one pull ^^)

Glyph of Misdirection - increases the duration of time that you can xfer threat to the tank.

This one might also work well as a reduction of cooldown for MD. I use it every cool down as it is.

Glyph of Concussive shot - replaces the "daze" effect with a minor knockback effect.

Might be OP, but the original CS had a stun component. The knockback just seems more realistic. You just got hit by a massively concussive blow and you just... wobble a bit and see stars... yeah.

Glyph of the Befriended Mount - enables hunter to mount/dismount while moving/falling and while in combat, but time needed to mount is doubled and increased every time your hit.

This one might be OP, but damn wouldn't it be nice to survive accidental dismounts while flying? I suppose that's secondary, but seriously I love how my druid is just running along and can insta-bird form into the air at break-neck speeds.

Just picture if you will the sheer awesomeness that would be if you were falling, you "call" your flying mount, it instantly appears beside you, diving along with you and when the bar finishes, it catches you. How about you "call" your mount while running and it appears running beside you for a few seconds (to your right so as to not step on your pet! ><). When the bar ends you "hop" onto them.

I'd like this

Glyph of tame beast: Your pet is fully happy when they are tamed
...
It's a bother to look through your bags and forget the food for that pet...

I don't like the volley glyph so i changed it:

Glyph of Volley: Your volley cannot be interrupted by any attack. (Minor)

Glyph of Tame Beast: You can tame beasts which are two levels above you. (Major)

I like a lot of the ones so far. One I'd like: Glyph of Aspect of Viper- Regain mana a lot faster, or reduce damage decrease to 80%. It seems like at least as a 70 Beastmaster hunter, I burn through mana fast and I hate reducing my damage. I don't know if it gets better at higher levels or with a different spec.

I burned through mana level with marks the few levels I did. I never had that problem with BM. Just hunters mark, send pet, open with serpent sting and just autoshot. I'd add in Arcane if I was rushed or had another mob to grab that agroed or something. The trick to grinding is easily repeatable rotations that balance time and mana so you can just keep doing it for long periods of time.

Most of the mana regen talents of BM or Surv is crit based and high in the trees. Even so, unless you have "mana battery" in group, you generally are forced to scale back damage in one form or another (viper, stopping to drink, etc).

Eh I've noticed burning thru mana at lowerlevels too, mostly because Ryai has better mana pool and I'm used to burning down things at 80 with Volley.

and epicfail warlocks get enough pet surv talents as it is :p hunters need the love and glyphs now.

Glyph of Tame Beast: You can tame beasts which are two levels above you. (Major)
I support ^^

Glyph of Misdirection: Redirects all threat to the current target for an additional 4 seconds. (8 seconds total)

I find the 4 seconds usually isn't enough, a glyph would be nice for us hunters who use it more often.

Glyph of Spirit bond: No longer provides 1-2% regeneration. Instead the hunter will receive 1-2% of healing done on the pet and vice versa. Healing given through spirit bond is not affected by the healing increasing effects of spirit bond.

Would probably be opish for pvp though.

Uh no it wouldn't- not random pvp anyways. Healers don't seem to grasp they need to heal, and when I am on my healer, no one seems to grasp to protect me. Tho I have had experience with people healing me, the most recent was when Caim was a baby lv 69 or so. he is now lv 80...

Tho I'd not take it, losing the % buff to healing would be a downer.

naw the +healing buff would still be there, it just wouldn't apply to the 1-2% you get from healing your pet.
