Kind've..I guess its still in being made abit, im kinda loosely sketching it out..
we still need a plot and a few classes, which I want other people to help me decide what to do with these
just remember that this is ancient greece were talking about: no WoW classes. Its more of an rp about what its like to live in ancient greece, so try to imagine yourself in it

anyways I have at least one rule slapped down:
you can have a greek animal/monster but only 1!, we dont want a roleplay full of monsters!
any other charrys MUST be human.
No gods either, and if your playing an important monster like scylla, then no one else gets it

A reference skeleton, you can create your own though:

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Personality:
Aperance:
Class:
Race(for monsters only):

yeah you dont have to use it like I said, in fact its rather encourged you make your own
this rp is still in making remember, so suggestions are good!

good info on ancient greece myths here: http://www.monstropedia.org/monster/Cat ... _mythology

Name:Decimae
Age:28
Gender:Female
Personality:Friendly to all, but not much for jokes, a very serious person
Appearance:a bit below medium height, long dark hair worn braided, pretty but not drop-dead gorgeous
Class:some healing skills, minor prophetic "feelings" that she usually doesn't voice.

She is a wanderer, seems to be searching for something but not even she knows what. She has a companion dog, who never lets her out of his sight. She carries a small pack with a few necessities and supports them by healing people and animals in return for food and shelter.

Name: Ptolmus
Age: 210 yrs
Gender: Neutral, but was created in the image of a male

Body composed of a framework of iron alloy and palm tree fiber "sinew", with hidden compartments storing oil resevoirs, flint and tinder, and electricity generating clay pots filled with an alchemical mixture that produces "lightning". Hards appear blackened and soot covered. Covered with a coarse toga that has seen better days. When he stands perfectly still a very low and soft thrumming is heard due to his internal mechanisms moving, when walking or moving the sound is much more apparent.
Class: Guardian. Brute strength, with built in weaponry in the form of oil, flame, and electrical output.
Race(for monsters only): Automaton

"He" was a guardian, built by an artificing young inventor. Built to stand watch over the master's works. But the master is long dead, and the master's works lost to the ravages of time. With his reason for existing gone, Ptolmus wanders, searching for a purpose, and hoping to prove that he truly has one.

Just trying to think up a character, and doing a bucketload of research to see if the current concept I have in mind would work. Will edit here once I have one down. :3

one question, Im just wondering what kind've rp you guys like, the plot I know is still in progress but sometimes plots heavily depend on the roleplayers choice themselves

I'd love a tragedy, with lots of heavy moral overtones. It's very fitting with a greek theme. But that could just be me.

To quote myself from the other thread:
Well, since this is a looking to be a Greek themed roleplay, it should be a typical Greek mythology plot: The gods are screwing around with mortals in some way, other gods don't like this and assemble various champions to try and put a stop to it for whatever reason. Throw in giant monsters, questionable ethics, themes of fate, destiny and tragedy, and you have a pretty well set Greek themed plot.

Is this a Jason and the Argonauts-type adventure, where there's a group of heroes traveling on a quest for some reason? Something like Odysseus's 10 year journey home? Are you all starting in medias res, in the middle of the plot with a prologue explaining the backstory of how you got to this point? Or will you be going through the early stuff as well? The rivalries between the gods and goddesses are always great for throwing in plot twists.

I don't know how these things are normally structured, but I do know Greek myths. ;)

Ruby, I think Moon was just saying how the plot should work. A traditional Greek story has several monsters, for example. Personally, I think it would be best to decide the antagonist gods, and protagonist gods, and the destination of the mortal champions. We can make up which monsters they encounter along the way.

Kalli, it'll most likely be like the argonauts or the Iliad/Odyssey, where we start from the beginning, and RP to the end.

Cool, that's the fun part of the Greek myths anyway. ;) There's the inciting incident, then everything starts going downhill and the plot unfolds.

I had an idea, just throwing it out there.

We could start at the end; maybe a naval battle between the sea-faring armies of the two rival gods, all as we're being swept away into Charybdis? Then since we have a final destination as a beginning, we can work the story out via a large set of flashbacks, each character starting with their own beginning that ultimately leads all the characters together into said end result?

That sounds extremely fun! Only problem I can see with it would be organizing it all.
It also made me remember a very old movie. xD

Well, I figured since you're playing Charbydis, it would give you a chance to create a "flashback" of your own, maybe even going back to the time Charbydis was a Naiad and not the giant mawed monstrosity that vacuums oceans. ;)
