The Night's Shadow

I was young, and niave. It was two years ago, i was in the wryvern's tail, having a drink with my, um... friend. we had started talking about our favorite legnds. Mine was of the young blood elf who wandered into the ghostlands and came out a girl. hers was of the Night's Shadow. She said that it was supposed to be some powerfull half spirit cat, sacred to the night-elves. She told me it lived in darkshore, and that if you were lucky, on a moonless night, you could get a glimps of it.
The story captured my heart, i wanted to see this cat, or spirit, or whatever it was. so i took a trip to darkshore. i stayed on the ruined beach for months hunting this cat, staying up every night to see if i could spot it. eventually i did see it, but it saw me first. i was sitting behind a rock, hiding from a group of nightelves that had walked past, wheni hear a low voice right next to me.
I look over and see him. The Night's Shadow. all i see are the burning embers of his eyes and the razor glint of his fangs. He says to me "So little blood elf... what brings you to these woods?" i answer " i um.... came to see if a legend was real." He says back to me "and did you find your answer, young one?" i said "yes, yes i did"
Before i could react he was ontop of me, his claws inches from my jugular. he said to me "why did you come here, really?" i say "i came to see you" he said to me "well you have seen me, now leave" i replied "no i won't leave without you" he says to me "then you will not leave" he brings his claws down, ripping open my neck.
I wake up facing a spirit healer, and The Night's Shadow. He looks different, his eyes have a burning glow eminating from them, and his coat is alive, and appears to be made of smoke. he said "that was a test, and you passed, i will travel with you, and i will fight with you, but only until you want me to."
That was two years ago, i look down and my hair falls into my eyes, black hair, when i had woken in my body my silvery white hair had become black and The Night's Shadow was sitting next to me. Now i am sitting next to him, and he is dieing.
