Hey there fellows of Petopia. I have a request and am curious to see what others may think. Would it be possible for a sub-forum to be launched within the Off-Topic that is meant for other games or other MMOs?

Would be nice to have more than just one thread that's getting rather long to talk about Rift and share pics and stuff.
And of course, to use it for any other games we may want to share and discuss.

I don't gte why its called games/MMOS last time I check MMOS where games O.o but i'm in for this.

Yes MMOs are games, but not all games are MMOs.

Hence why it should just be called "Other games"

Why does it matter? It's the same difference really. Anyway, I'm done discussing that bit of off-topicness. Like I said, I'm for this idea.

Well really it is on topic as it's about the title of the sub forum.

Nobody ever said that HAD to be the title of the sub-forum. I honestly don't see why it matters. Some people feel the need to nitpick at the weirdest things sometimes.

I love the support for this idea which I'm sure I stole from somewhere on here.

Perhaps even 2 subforums in Off-Topic would make it even better

That's not a bad idea.

I think one forum would be more than enough.

Yeeeeah I think two forums is unnecessary. Just one forum will be fine.

I don't even think you need a subforum. You can set up a nice little board in the Off-Topic section for the game of your choice with minimal effort much like the Pokemon thread that is, from what I can tell, still going strong.

That's just my thoughts, though, if you want a subforum by all means ask for a subforum. That said, are you really going to be able to justifiably fill an active subforum with topics about Game A or MMO B, or is it best to just make an 'Official Rift Topic' or 'Official Hello Kitty Party Thread' in Off-Topic and point related topics in that direction?

I'm with Nub here. The Pokemon thread does okay, and I just don't see the point of splitting it off. That gets a bit too specific to me, when it can fit easily in one forum. For example, the RP forum? It could fit into several different forum categories, so it was given its own. Taming stories just ate up all the Pet Discussion, and Patch Stuff is similar to Cata Beta.

But other games? Eh, could fit just fine in OOC. That said, if subforum goes through, I do agree with Jess, two different forums for games and MMOs seems overkill.

I think just "other games" would have enough to warrant another forum of its own, rather than having it grouped with RL problems or situation topics
