Terrorpene has a new look in 4.2

Just noticed a couple days ago that Terrorpene curremtly has a new skin on PTR. Gonna attach the screenie since I can't figure out how to just post the image straight into the post.

To me, that looks like a graphical glitch. If that's permanent...ew.

Hope he doesn't keep that look, makes it appear as though he got nearly drowned or something, and lost his fire. I'll still keep him anyway, he's the pet I used to solotank Argaloth on PTR a couple months ago.

That's the way he always looks to me. I've never seen him look otherwise in live. Weird.

Even at low graphics when i had my old computer he still glowed with his firey red/yellow/orangeness
since this is the PTR it should be fixed before live

hmm I got some interesting screenshots of him to.
its actually, kind of pretty. It is on low settings cause thats how my ptr only runs. So its pretty interesting to say the least.. I like it

Well, Chili looks like the other Terrorpenes pictured above. But I do believe I've located the problem:

Shadow quality, liquid detail, and sunshafts are all forced to low/disabled with the error "requires a shader 2 model graphics card" showing up when I mouse over the options. So that's where the bug is, whatever it is.

I actually like that more than the current Terrorpene, who kind of hurts my eyes. If the shell was the same black as his skin with occasional bursts of fire it'd look very nice, imo.

This made me wonder to so I had to check and mine looks like crap to. I really hope they don't intend on leaving it this way.

It's odd because Nemesis looks the same as usual on the PTR (well, when I did the one daily where you kill his ghost, anyway).
Most likely they're messing with the texture in anticipation of the Firelands fire turtle QQ so that TerrorP looks different in one way or another. One or the other will have a skin without the lava in the cracks of his skin, perhaps.
