8 new rare tamable beasts have been added, each of which provides a unique taming challenge. Will you be the first hunter to tame Deth'tilac, the rarest and most powerful of them all? Players will need to progress through the Hyjal Regrowth and Molten Front daily questing areas in order to unlock access to the full gamut of taming challenges.

The Defensive pet stance will now only cause the player's pet to attack enemies which attack the pet or the master.

Which means that the new aggressive mode will be the only way to have our pet run in by it's self if we are attacking (rather than then the defensive we have now)

New taming challenges sound neat, but uh....need more stable slots, possibly.

Well I don't know about this Deth'tilac they mentioned, but Beth'tilac is a fire-spider boss in Firelands. My guess is that Deth'tilac will be a spider with the same skin.

no drop please and make them hunter only accesable, that way we arent taunted by dead corpses that make some want to nerd rage quit


im guessing that new pet will be the purple spider =p

*huggles Rekk'tilac* Look at all the new family you're getting! I'm quietly squeeing at the addition of new spiders with the -tilac suffix since Rekk's kind of special to me.

This just sounds so awesome! What a neat idea, I can't wait to learn more about it. Man...are we spoiled, or are we spoiled? :3

Aww, don't quit over a dead mob. It's just a game and they'll respawn some other time, after all.

I would like loot, even if it's just a 'hey feel bad' tear. It's horribly counterproductive to what they were trying to do but I actually enjoy hunting rares and have a few tears in my bag along with a metric crapton of Northrend blues I'm not sure what to do with.

That said, won't be mad if they pull a Ghostcrawler-type situation for these guys. I like killing rares but I'm not heartless, and anything that makes it easier for people to enjoy the game is fine by me. Depending on the models, I might have to check them out myself. :)

I dont want any loot on these guys. D: Bad enough the tear is 25g.

You unlock ACESS to the full gamut of taming challenges. I wonder what that means? But its taming challenges, so I am thinking that they probably will be like GC and cant be killed and the taming will be difficult to which is what we have all been craving. The thrill and challenge is amazing! I am sooo excited! And that Deth'tilac is powerful so I am thinking its going to be hard and fun and omgosh.... *stares at two stables slot* *stares at the word 8* *sighs* ok then.. Well either way as soon as the ptr is up it is soo game on. Multiple hunters on an account rocks! But if you have to unlock to get acess I wonder if its certain areas, or maybe certain quest mobs/items..

Cause think of it guys, it takes us what 10 secs to tame? the Level 85 rares will almost kill you if they arent trapped, Karoma almost pwned me.. Sambas almost pwned me.. GC hurts.. so if its a challenge to tame it.. its got to be near impossible to kill it. Atleast that is what I am hoping for, rares that pwn.

And its only in the questing areas, and theres 8 of them so.. possibly 4 in each area is pretty hardcore epic.

I have to disagree on them being hunter-only.. I want it to be a challenge. If they were friendly to both factions, then it would simply be 12 hunters sitting around waiting for a spawn. maybe one or two that way, but I wouldn't want them all that way.

I do agree with them not having drops or being part of achievement. (Unless there is a TAMING achievement, now that would be cool..

But, one change that I would like to see is that anyone attacking a rare that is being tamed gets flagged. At least that way you have a chance to do something about it, and could give some of the gankers pause..

Another GC type would be nice.
