I found her in The Regrowth, circling the area. She runs fairly quickly and operates under the same rules as Ankha. She'll nearly kill you but the tame will complete as long as you're not wearing armor and nothing else is fighting you.

.. Just no.. why use Gondria two times, when they clearly said "unique and rare".

Guess we'll only be getting more recolors of existing Spirit Beasts then..

That was a really exciting (and nervewracking!) tame to watch! She runs around fast, and through tons of aggressive mobs, which can make this very risky.

This is one REALLY bright blue cat, who looks FANTASTIC in person! (She is NOT selected in these pics!)







Please don't complain about the models. Noah's influence is definitely in the picture here, since we're seeing previously unused, but discovered, looks added to the game. This is a blessing, and we should be thankful for the options. If one pet isn't to your taste, another might be. And if none are, so what? They'll appeal to someone else. Let them be happy.

For those saying she's not unique.....kindly point out an EXACT mob that looks like her?

Gondria doesnt. She's purple with green eyes.
Ahnka doesnt. She's greenish colored.

She's unique and people have been BEGGING for this one.

Ehm, while others may be glad, you can't always satisfy everyone as you said; are those people not allowed to voice their opinion aswell, or is this some kind of one-way road where you can only throw praises towards Blizzard?

Either way, I still think it was unnecessary to give two related rares the same model + a small color change, the model+color of Magria could also have been added to some underwater raid/instance/location in a situation where he/she's rare.

But I guess if you're into that, why not? Whatever floats your boat :p

I'm merely stating that I am losing my hope in any actually enticing (as far as game models could be) pets. Don't see why I should be shut up unless I have compliments to spout xD

No one said you couldn't have an opinion. But you should expect to get countered by other opinions after it's been said to not pass judgement til all 8 are known. It's a package deal.

Exactly, there is nothing UNIQUE about them but a lazy recolor/reskin. Same body style, same animations. And now two Gondria/tiger style models. Actually I'm kind of glad so I don't have to obsess over tracking these down.

Either way, you can probably surely understand that any skeptical person could easily concoct a mental pattern which would scream through his mind; "Two almost totally related models out of eight models! What if the rest are like that?!"

Excuse me for my negativity, but the pattern's there, I can't help it; and I'll stand by the opinion that they could've surely used one of the two models+colors of the two cats that have been discovered somewhere else and it would opened up a space for an unique pet.

And to me, the "You shouldn't judge when there's only 3/8 pets discovered" argument is rather flawed, you can keep it up until you say "You shouldn't judge when there's only 7/8 pets discovered!".

Either way, I'm not hoping for an owl recolor, or a Skoll or Loque or whatever recolor.. please.

Oh, if they're all like this, I won't be happy. I'm just hoping that only a few are Gondria recolors. I happen to really like this color though.

The point people are making is that they don't want to see a recolor, but a new model. Maybe of these skins were classified as regular beast, then we can talk. And what's pissing me off about this whole business is not one of these pets can be tamed by a spec outside BM. As someone who rolls 4 hunter alts, I find this ridiculous.

^ This. I'd be a little irritated if they're all Gondria but some fail to notice these two were already in the system. They're using Skins that have been collecting dust and people have wanted.

I've got more than 4 hunter alts...all of them are BM in one form or another. I'm glad BM is getting some love after 4.1 was all nonexotics. I'd rather more than spirit beasts though. Devilsaurs and corehounds would be nice.

AGREED. I want some non-BM beasts!

For all we know, the pets on the Firelands side will be shiny and brand new, due to fewer unused models having fiery sorts of themes. The spider-sounding final one is almost certainly going to be completely new, just from the sound of it.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion of whether or not these models released are to their taste. My point is that, thus far - based off of what we've seen - we're seeing more of the unused models that some players have wanted for years making it into the game for the first time. If that's ultimately what the bulk of these pets turn out to be, so be it.

We still have five to go. There's time.

Here's a hypothetical; how else could these variations on Gondria have been released? One at a time? Perfect; all you get this patch is a recolor of Gondria. No; we got 8 beasts, and mixed in there are the Gondria variants. It's an assorted package being given instead of a single spirit beast. Thus far, we've gotten more Spirit Beasts with this patch than with any other patch that's been released.

/sigh. Grats on finding this beauty, if I run across her I'll tame, but otherwise not gonna strain myself for her. Not only have they re-used a model here, they've recycled a challenge. I -really- want the next one to be unique in model, or at least a less common type of model (Rhinos, worms, tallstriders, -sporebats-, and so on.)

Thats what I've been saying. But meh...people don't wanna be happy. Always gotta be doubtful and pessimistic.

Would love a new worm/devilsaur/corehound though.

And I'm mostly un-enthusiastic because I'm not too much of a cat person, and the owl is hit or miss and I won't know till I get him. I -really- hope to see a pet I'll enjoy using in this, but if not, at least it'll take some pressure off of Madexx (I hope...)
