I saw a posted saying these are the thing blizz needs to jack from rift

one of them was the skimpy armor they have. The OP was asking to go back to the plate bikini models of old.... So i was wonder what is your opinion of skimpy/sexy armor for female toons

No opinions on this??!?

I don't want it. I was so happy over WOTLK moving away from that sort of thing.

I do agree that WoW could benefit from the wardrobe feature, where you can display one item while wearing another.

Do. Not. Want. Boob plate armor. Yes, i said boob meh rofl. There are a few pieces of plate armor in vanilla (or was it TBC... im pretty sure it was a vanilla item, theres a few chestpieces that do it) that im not kidding you, ONLY cover boobs on a female character and i seriously made a WTF face when i saw it for the first time

I dont mind skimpy stuff but i dont want to see anything that just covers the top half of our torso and our bikini area. I already got Blackmageweave Pants for that. I also do not like the Outrider pants AT ALL, have you seen them?? More importaintly, have you seen them on an ORC MALE?? its a disturbing site *sage nod*

I would like to see more dresses like the ones from AQ though :3

They look pretty decent to me nothing disturbing atleast on the WoWhead site

One thing they could copy from Rift armor is several models of gear, too. Right now gear in WoW is, with the exception of a few pants, just a texture put on the naked model. Would be nice to get some 3D in that.

Personally I think the sexualized armor needs to go. Unless you're like a lore based fury warrior or something, chances are you are not going to be running around scantily clad and taking hits like a boss.

However, I think this trend developed probably from a mixture of men and women wanting something "pretty" to look at, or whatever. It became less about practicality and more about how "sexy" a character would look. For example, there's a LOT of pieces in WoW that look more "sexy" on females, but when you put the same piece on a male, it looks normal.

Personally, I think it's not right and it is just asking for some dirty pervert to start sending you nasty tells. If I'm playing a plate wearing class then I damned well better be covered in my plate so that I don't get my ass curb-stomped.

Well the reason blizz claimed to have stop the skimpy/sexy/scantily clad (whats with all the ssssssss) is because people were claiming it was sexiest for a female character to be wearing something sexy and on a male character it would be like you said normal

EDIT: I'm actually 50/50 on this matter and couldn't careless if the "plate bikini" ever came back I was just wonder what others were thinking without having every troll on the wow forums jump down my throat lol

my elf characters get hit on all the time so im indifferent to the idea of people whistling and whispering me, i just dont answer back if i dont feel like talking to em lol

When Magli was leveling up she got a lucky drop of a Wolffear Harness, which is basically red leather bondage gear. I'm sure on a human or a blood elf it's muy sexy, but on a dwarf? Think Rosie O'Donnell in "Exit to Eden." I couldn't buy a guild tabard fast enough....

Yeah, I'm with the folks who aren't keen on scanty armour. I see ads sometimes that make me think, "one thrust of a sword and they'd be dead" - I mean I understand WoW is already unrealistic in many fighting terms but at least attempt to cover up vital organs etc etc as one would in a warcraft-based world.

porn is readily available on the interwebs - grow some balls and google it instead of getting your fix from an online game!

My main has skimpy outfits for when she's off duty, but it would be silly to wear that sort of thing in combat. After all, is this world of warcraft, or world of lingerie ads?

But that's the thing, many people support the skimpy outfits because it's something "pretty" for them to look at, which inevitably leads to people doing dirty things to their (or others) in game avatars. It's also the same reason orc, tauren, dwarf, and troll females are typically considered "ugly" while blood elf and draenei females are more readily accepted as being "hot."

Personally I like it but it's almost all plate, and a hunter can't wear that. I just like pretty things and so I play almost all female toons because I think they look nicer, and they all get vanity gear right from the start since I don't like the way most armor looks now.

But I would say my husband is opposed to it because he wants his female tanks to look tough and well protected, not like Victoria's Secret models. Which I can see the point of as well.

Not that it will ever happen but maybe it'd be nice if armor like this could come with two options, one that's more revealing and one that's more covered up.

My male druid was leveling in a thong... it was a bad site....

my alt hunter or pally (cant recall which i know its a draenei) has litterally her groin and breasts covered and shes in "heavy" armor

Bring them back for BOTH sexes. I'm utterly sick of the "Walking piles of plate metal" and "Ambulatory piles of cloth" that make up all of the Tier Sets and high-end armor.

Males in Conan the Barbarian garb. Females in Red Sonya styles. Model the armors after Frank Frazetta's style. Bring a little sword-and-sorcery mideivel fantasy back to World of Warcraft.

I think it was best said before.... there should be like 2 designs for the armor on any given sex/race one with less armor and one with more
