Ok I will update my post of course but I have sucessfully tamed this little sucker after getting wth pwned countless countless time!

He has two abilities.. the nature damage and this toxin stun thatll hit you hard and stun you for 3 secs.. aka you are dead if you get hit by it..

He paths all the way around the furnace to where the scorp is to where the fire starts on the other end. But he also has two paths one where he goes on the inside of that rock and doesnt go all the way to the fire, and then hell switch it up and go all the way to fire the next time so you can choose your battle.

How I did successfully
1.You MUST have aspect of the nature up
2. Position yourself at a good spot, it says hes immune to CS but it seemed to work somehow *shrugs* I am not complaining, he is immune to all traps.
3. Pull with a CS, and CS again.. hit detterence and tame beast. And then pray hahaha

His stun is brutal and you will die if he uses it. It mostly meant my death 100% of the time and so far I didnt see a way to get out of it except from trying to be far away and hope that he uses it all while detterence is up ^.^ Also that charge is brutal, it hits you up in the air and interrupts your tame, trying to tame him again is really hard as the sucker hits somewhat hard but its that stun thatll kill you. Magmixillion toxin.

I got more SSs however.. hes a fast little sucker so most of them are at his ass.. he is extremely fast when he paths.. alot less faster when you pull him

wow nice job! i love all of you guys for testing these. i downloaded the ptr and can't even find them =.=

I am getting INSANELY lucky today.. I have found so far Skitter, Deh, Kirix and now Anth.. I like low server so I can test some theories and stuff on the rares.. basically there was probably no way I would have got kirix if there was a ton of people there just cause people would interrupt the tame or take it when you die. Kirix is my little wild card, the others dont seem as brutal so far when it comes to random wth just killed me moments..

Oh my gosh for sure. SSs do not give these guys justice and neither does the ptr with the low graphic settings, on live these guys are going to be amazing!

so you have to cs twice then tame? Can you say, pop ancient hysteria, hit cs deterrence & try to tame?

Uh... that may have helped but I dont have a core hound (should think of picking one up..) and first tame always seems to be a WHOOSH what the heck just happened and why didnt I do that the last 10+ times I tried

Once I see him again I am sure itll be alot easier for me to pick his little brain. I mean big brain.. he seems to be smaller then the others though.

I think they increased the spawn rate on the rares on the PTR so hunters could test taming and such. I've been literally tripping over them.

Yah just found/tamed Deh ^.^ shes really.. girly so makes sense why you have to get to know her awhile before she comes home with you. She was brought up right! If you try to to come on to her to fast, she slaps you down!

I luckily you know brought gifts (traps) and lavished her with love arrows and she agreed! Odd thing was though.. normally it says YOU CAN TAME HER NOW but it didnt.. and I was waiting for it but nothing.. figured she had low health and tried to tame and sure enough. Pretty girl

BTW Sas, you *did* just miss Magria. Was 12 hours after the last spawn. Both of them are here right now.

SO! I have Kirix. And it was THE MOST INTENSE TAME EVER. Even more than King Krush with two Horde trying to kill us. Unfortunately, I didn't get screenshots or a look at his buffs/debuffs or much of anything at all because THE SERVER WAS RESTARTING IN 15 MINUTES. So while this was not a terribly fantastic tame for gleaning information, I can say what did end up happening:

- Kirix DODGES TRAPS if you're not actually in combat with him. He skittered right over two of mine because I hadn't engaged him yet.
- He does NOT patrol as close to the flames on the west side as I had thought. There's enough room to safely pass the fire and not have LOLSPIDER eating your face.
- There is a CUTTHROUGH over the center of the Furnace area, which I did not know about, so you can cross past him without getting eaten, having to tame him, or having to kill him. (THIS MEANS YOU, PALLY WHO AGGROED AND GOT OWNED IN THE FACE! That's my baby there! )
- HE HITS THROUGH DETERRENCE. I couldn't tell if it was partial damage or full damage, but you will definitely still be taking damage with it up, probably from his aura.
- DO NOT TRY TO TAME HIM NEAR THE ISLAND. If you die, you will res on Skitter's island, which will be a massive pain in the ass for getting back to Kirix. You could get REALLY lucky as I did once, you can try to jump and res in midair, then let the little bounce buff push you over onto the ledge, but you can't count on that. I ended up having to hearth out on a later attempt and fly back FROM STORMWIND to tame him. Definitely do not do that. -_- I obviously didn't find the sweet spot for taming; I suspect it may be on the west side, rather than the east.
- His knockback WILL interrupt your first tame. Period. Unless there's a specific placement of frost trap + conc shot that will prevent him from knocking you back before getting tamed, then you'd better plan to have the second part ready. What I ended up doing was having a haste pot going for both tame casts, then ancient hysteria (<3 you guys so much) and deterrence for the second cast, since that was where the interrupt happened to hit. I used my trinket, the mirror of broken images, for the first cast. NR aura was up for all of it. I ended up dying and seeing him despawn at the same time. (EDIT: now that i think of it, a sacrificial pet for the knockback might work like it did with Krush. So bring a corehound with heart of the phoenix, and you should THEORETICALLY be able to do this solo. Maybe.)

So yeah. Definitely DO NOT do what I did. *huggles Kirix* I'm so excited that I get to do this tame again on live, can't you tell?

Grats! I didn't get to see the tame but, I did see him running back and forth. By the time I got around the corner he had been tamed. I also didn't want to pull aggro either, so I kept running away from him and keeping my distance.
