It finally happened. I had just returned home from dinner with my partner and as per usual I logged straight in to WoW and commenced camping. I had to select my spot wisely as there were 3 other relatively hardcore Aeonaxx campers in the zone. Sitting at the PC 10-15 minutes after logging in, we were online checking out bank accounts on my second monitor when my partner said to me "Aeonaxx doesn't exist" - She knew it did because I had shown her a few videos and she had witnessed its corpse multiple times over the past 3-4 months I had invested in to camping for it. Anyway's we joked around a little regarding how long I had camped and how it was taking sooooo long. 5 Minutes later NPC goes off and incredibly it is Aeonaxx - After seeing the bat at 7:04am in the morning I really didn't expect to see Aeonaxx this particular day, especially in the same spawn location. My heart is pumping, I know I have to be quick. I ignore the fact I had planned on recording the mount and kill as I didn't want to waste any time or do anything that could potentially cause an issue. Meanwhile my sound is LOUD, like REALLY LOUD. My partner is also in shock. I fly down and mount it, my partner yelling "Go, go, go, cmon!!". With no poisons equipped I know this could take a while, first thing I do is get my recuperate going Had vanish on my side bar out of reach (have heard horror stories). Popped a few cool downs and used a pot during the course of the fight. I couldn't even tell you where it took me, I know that I almost did a complete lap of the temple it took me that long.... Died just outside the entrance to the temple. OMFG I JUST GOT THE TLPD!!!!! ON MY OTHER ACCOUNT!!! RIGHT THEN, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA A MONTH CAMPING. OMG! BOTH IN A NIGHT. WHILE WRITING THIS STOREY!!!!!!! I will upload the video and screen shots for the TLPD too Had to fight for it along side a low level Warrior that has been camping in my spot! And then a mage, an 85, tried killing me while looting it!!!! OMG!!!!!! Hahahaha classic ... My god two in a day after months and in excess of 1500 hours camping! You know what is crazy, the level 73 warrior had already tagged it but I got it off him... The other crazy part is that I wasn't even in the camp location, I was at the flight master at Frosthold after returning from buying an egg for the Green Proto Drake and forgot to move my character back to its camp location.... When NPC scan went off, I was lost, I flew up trying to get my bearings and then headed over... Saw the warrior approaching it and tried to intercept but failed. Fortunately he took it to the spawn ledge where I took it from him... Kinda feel bad but he probably would have died anyway's i'm thinking? Right as I finished killing it an 85 mage came and killed me, fortunately I got to loot it.

Aeonaxx and TLPD within 3 hours of each other.

Grats on your Aeonaxx but I am having a hard time understanding how you got TLPD if someone else already had it tagged?

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWR WITHIN 4 HOURS?!?!?!!?

Rhapture - I honestly have no idea how it happened. I can tell you how I ended up with it and I guess someone else might be able to tell us how it happened.

The warrior aggroed the TLPD and took it over to the spawn ledge. I thought to myself that I need to kill the warrior but stupidly decided to attack him with "Killing Spree".

So, I bounced between two of them dealing a lot of damage. By the time Killing Spree had finished I was already planning a way to stop the warrior attacking TLPD because I could see that it was nearly dead. I planned to "Blind" the warrior and then I was going to "Vanish" and finish him off BUT after blinding him, I noticed TLPD was attacking me?! I selected the TLPD and it wasn't grey! I killed it just in time as the mage came down and finished me off.

I am very happy I decided to change camp locations after 1 month sitting at Burn and seeing Vyragosa around 20times. I had only been camping this new spot for around 3 days and had to camp in stealth in the trees right next to the spawn spot due to being level 80.

So you effectively stole his kill?

It is a PvP server, I certainly don't think I "stole" his kill. We all play by the same rules and understand that at any time given the right circumstances during our experience in the game we could die to the opposite faction. At least that is the way I look at it. I was killed so many times by the opposite faction both on my main and my alt while camping Aeonaxx and TLPD - you just have to accept it. I also accepted the fact that if Aeonaxx spawned, just because I was camping in a particular spot didn't mean I wouldn't have to race someone else to mount it. Should someone else be attempting to mount Aeonaxx given I was most likely there first and camping in that spot already? Sure, they are paying to play the game just like me and they chose a PvP server knowing the potential repercussions. What the warrior should have done was level higher than level 73... I really don't think he stood much of a chance in any case.

I am sure we will have different views on this but that is how I play the game.

I play on both RP and RPPvP servers, and I can't say I would EVER dream of stealing someone's tame/kill. Or, in fact, of killing a lower level player. The whole PvP mentality for me is to have a challenge, and killing a player that is more than 10 (or 5 for that matter) levels lower than me is not a challenge, and neither is it sporting. Yes, I have had my fair share of negative experiences on these servers, and I accept that since I chose to play on them. But that doesn't mean I need to stoop to their level.

However, like you said, that's how you play the game. Congratulations on your pretty mounts.
