My horde guild is really amazing. They're almost at lvl 25. I was wondering if I purchased the scorpion with my hordie since its bind on battlenet and mailed it to my main ally guy whose in a small really nice lvl 14 guild would I be able to use it as a lion?

Yea to my knowledge, you can use your mount so long as you have the riding proficiency, so yes, if you went from horde with a scorpion to ally side, you'd be able to ride it as a lion, once you buy the mount and if you say, left or were kicked from the guild, that wouldnt hinder your use of the mount because you bought it and you are (hopefully) able to ride it where mounts are allowed

I asked my guild something kinda like this when it came to mounts in general and if they converted and they said yes some mounts will convert, if they are faction based and theres a counterpart to it, they also answered that you can use it regardless because you own it. I havent seen it with my own eyes though but im 99% sure of it

I don't think you need exalted to USE it. Just need that to BUY it.

I think if you send it to someone that alt needs exalted to use it too.

its too akward for ppl to throw out 3k gold only to find they cant use it for 3 months till they hit exalted with their newest guild... but then again i dont really know the guild system much and i personally hate the guild system.. lol

There's been people that have left Level 25 guilds and still are able to use their mounts. They probably just have to be Friendly, just like to use the other guild-bought stuff.

No I think if you join a new guild you need exalted with that seeing as it wipes your rep.

I'll even go ask someone from a level 25 guild one of my alts are in. ._.

EDIT: Just asked...their response was "Once you buy it, you can use it whenever and give it to alts."

I can confirm that you do not need to be exalted to ride the mount, I recently sent a scorpid to my worgen who is only in a level 1 guild and he can ride it fine.

In fact you don't even need to be in a guild

You can send it to an Ally character and you can send it to your lvl 20 alt to make them look uber cool. Once you get exhaulted in a lvl 25 guild, buy however many of these mounts you like. When you learn lvl 40 riding the mount will then scale up to 100%

It doesn't have a tooltip "Requires Guild rep-Exalted" like other items "such as guild banners etc" so theres no requirement for any of your other toons.

Consider it a BOA "heirloom" style mount - but keep in mind once a character learns it it is bound to that toon and you would have to buy another if you wanted it on a different character. I'm thinking of buying a lion to send to my horde toon just so I can play around with riding a scorpion.

i bought one for every alt of mine all the way down to level 20, you do not need to be exalted to either learn or ride it. you don't need rep of any kind. grats!

You can buy it for other toons and send it to them, It doesn't matter what there rep lvl is or what guild there in. Blizzard has mentioned this before.

alittle sad that it changes to a lion i would love to have both a lion and a scorpid
