I thought Skarr was bad but ooh no.. his little buddy was worse!
What me and Yaone had to do was
1. Shoot to pull agroo
2. Corehound heroism and lava breath to slow the cast
3. potion of speed
4. detterence and hit tame
this guy and skarr is all about speed! get as much haste as you can! He casts a stun, its a 5 second cast so your job is to BEAT that cast. Cause no matter what if you hit tame beast again, he casts it again, he has no cooldown..
and he hurts. Interesting things to add
I could tame him on the cliff, so I didnt have to risk jumping rocks.
He is a bit off to the side so people can get by safely you just have to wait for the safe rocks to pop up. Curious people.. not good
He has low health only 156k so he can be killed esepcially with range, and especially since he only uses his big painful attack when you hit tame so far.. 7k fire balls isnt going to save him. He keeps his big bugs out for those trying to tame.
Once his barrage cast gets more then half way through, even if you fd he for some reason still hit me.

He just spawned on Anasterian (not long after Anthriss, Solix, and Ankha - in that order!)! If you are watching the tame from Dante's area, DO NOT STAND TOO CLOSE. That cone of damage hurts like hell.
Blood elf who tamed him was marks and either got a perfect silencing shot on the cast or just got lucky that it didn't get cast again. Regardless, that was basically a straight tame.

Did I mention he hit me for 72k? Cause he totally did. And I wasn't even standing on a stepping stone.

Silencing shot works hey? Still not going marks for one rare.. cant do it.. just cant.
And yes if you are anywhere near the person taming him, he will hit you to with the barrage. I am thinking.. that BE got lucky, but how long does silencing shot last?

Three seconds. It's probably not enough. >_< But say you have a marks buddy with you, but good aggro; the silence might be a good idea, ya?

switch to MM silencing shot pull,

MM spec for taming so far seems to be the BEST.
Im surv spec.. you would think.. I.. but I .. i dont wanna go MM spec..
guess I better work on my MM rotation. But I wonder how do I explain to my guildies why me being the only surv and being so gung ho about it.. and hating MM spec switched to MM spec. To tames rares.. oh well MM spec here I come!

That's what temporary offspec is for!
Survival still bothers me in that it has no interrupt.

Unless scatter works on this lil' guy; I haven't tried it.

People keep mentioning deterrence + tame... but deterrence has no effect during a tame, e.g. it casts, but damage still gets through if you're channeling Tame Beast.

You know, the more I think about those rocks, the more convinced I am that scatter is going to help. Scatter has a short range and there are a bunch of new rocks near the spawn points. Why would they need to be there otherwise? That's all a biiiiiiig if, though. Scatter has to actually work.

Maybe you could try using the Scatter Shot talent and glyph together?
From what I read, it gives a range total of 24 yards.

Deterrence *used* to be this way, when it only parried attacks. Now it gives you 100% dodge. I haven't tried it recently, but in 4.1's PTR, taming using Deterrence was fine thanks to that.
May have to tame a throwaway pet just to test that out.
