(Resilience) probably stupid, but I don't understand...

So, how come almost all of the crafted gear is basically PvP gear? From my (admittedly limited) understanding of it, Resilience as a stat on gear indicates that the gear is PvP oriented. Almost every single high-end item my Leathercrafter can make contains a large amount of Resilience. Likewise my Tailor.

As someone who never PvPs, I sort of feel cheated (notice, I said "sort of") by this.

I was under the impression that PvPers use their PvP tokens or currency to purchase their "leet" gear? Why can't PvE people get to craft their own "leet" gear?

I'd just like to have some craftable non-PvP items that are more or less level-equivalent to the PvP patterns I have.

Am I missing something? I'd really love to have this explained to me (in very VERY simple terms... I don't really do well with all that math and stuff).

Thanks so much :)

It's there to have some entry-level gear for PvPers, so a new 85 isn't -completely- steamrolled without any resilience. But I do agree, completely - why is that the only option? Sometimes I snag some of those crafted pieces for my new 85s, because they certainly are a stat upgrade. It's just a little wtf there aren't any/many craftable PvE blues.

I don't see how this is any different then the way crafted gear has always worked*. There's a starter PvP set so fresh 85s don't get creamed in BGs/arenas until they get more honor. There's a select few pieces of crafted PvE gear and then you get the rest from dungeons, reputations, and points/badges.

Are some examples of the crafted gear.

*Which, for me, is from WotLK since I didn't play before then.

those are all cloth gear. I haven't found any equivalent mail that's crafted.

There is a fair amount of crafted PVE mail gear, but the idea of PVE is that you're supposed to be doing normal dungeons before heroics, from which you can gather gear.

There's an epic chestpiece and an epic belt (I think Dragonscale Chestguard and Corded Viper Belt?) which are i359, and then a couple of level 82-83 blues (which aren't great admittedly) but yeah, if you're PVE orientated either you a) are primarily a solo/quester, in which TWH has a good range of quest reward get, or b) are primarily a dungeon grinder, in which you should have collected dungeon rewards before then.

In my understanding honour and PVP points are a lot more difficult to obtain which is why they have a "full crafted set" for level 85s.

Thank you for wording it better than I was able. :)
