So I need a wolf and a cat for Tzzak, but I don't know which to pick; so tonight I went out and tamed a bunch of both, and proceeded to take dorky pictures. I'm so picky, I'm not sure who to keep. Especially since there aren't any blue or green wolves. (What I wouldn't do for a spirit wolf I can use as marksman!)

I like Winna's Cat, but it's almost too bright of an orange stripes for me.
(I love this picture though, I think it's my favorite of the lot.)


I like Rak'shiri too, but again, he's not as blue as her blue pets,


On the way to Darkshore to tame a Nightsaber, I noticed Shadowclaw on Petopia - much better! I love this model.


Or - do I want to go after Sambas? I'm not sure - I don't adore him, but I'm also not completely sold on the above.

Old Ironjaw, who was my buddy all throughout Wrath. Mostly because - look how well he matched t10!


I think Deathmaw is a bit too much on the red side for me.


Cliff jumper isn't doing it for me either.

I'm leaning on Ironjaw and Shadowclaw, but I just can't decide. Feel free to suggest different ones to go tame, too.

As you can see, all of her RP gear is brown and (very little) green, if that helps at all.

If you still want opinions, I think your toon looks great with Rak'shiri and I am a huuuuuge fan of Ironjaw, who also looks amazing with your toon. Those are the two I'd go with.

Old cliftjumper and the green cat looks great with your char ^^.. but it can be hard to choose . i know cause im self in d oubt on some of my pets

I dunno, I think Rak'shiri looks dang nice with you. The blue fur more or less matches your skin and the green eyes are similar to your green hair. And Ironjaw goes really well with you as well.

^same. those are the best. Shadowclaw is one I get on every hunter I've had, alliance or horde, whenever I can. I tend to keep him for a long time, and always have him on at least one of my hunters.

lol yea im also agreeing with shadowclaw and ironjaw, i was browsing through and i was like oh wow they look really awesome! OJC looks pretty nice but i like ironjaw more for your char

Heh, thanks guys. I probably will go with my original idea of Ironjaw and Shadowclaw. Too bad you can't have two pets out at the same time, they'd look smashing together!

I'm thinking OCJ and Rak'shiri/Shadowclaw really, because of the colour schemes.. But then again, it's entirely up to you.
The reason I think so, is that I look at the colours and see whether they are warm or not, and your hunter is mainly cold colours, so the pets should be too, imo. xD

I agree Rak really compliments your avatar's skin color. And Ironjaw just looks so well with you - why? no idea, but he does.

Have you ever seen troll druid forms? They're all primary colors, half of which clash. So when I think of a troll hunter, I think of those really bright colors. Winna's kitten is perfect for that, but there is no brightly-colored wolf. They're all tasteful earth colors and black and white.

And I haven't exactly put my money where my mouth is...on my troll hunter all my pets are brown.

So yes, I think you've answered your own questions. It's funny how writing things down can do that for you.

Have you tried Barnabus for your wolf? I have him on my dreanei hunter and ablsolutely love his color. In certain areas (danassus was one area) I notice that his color brightens to a burnish red/orange. He's my favorite wolf.
