I need a break from these forums for a bit. I could write a essay on how these forums have gone down the pooper but thats for another day. So I might lurk but I wont post. Um I'll still put my reptle babies stuff up but only on my DA page so you will have to go there for now.

I just can't handle the amount of QQ thats on here right now :S I'll be back when ever I feel like it. Later days!

That's part of the problem with forums when they grow. The bigger they get, the less the quality becomes unfortunately.

I think I'm back still thinking about it but I'm pretty sure I don't think I should post anymore art here tho. 60% of the people who comment on it here are the same who comment on it on my DA page and the way the Mods treat my art compared to others it's not worth it IMO.
Its a unfreindly atmosphere here now seeing as anything can get taken down with out a reason for it.

I know how you feel Cawmu...its getting to the point where no matter what I post someone decides to take offence or complain and things turn into a warzone...There are only a few threads I actually post on now because of it...it no longer feels so...friendly now.

which is why I mainly post in off-topic and roleplaying and the occasional thread in other forums.

That's unfortunate, but smart. Better than arguing 'til the cows come home.

How do the mods treat your art ?

They take pics down with out reasons or warnings. Heck 1 person can complain and threads can go down now.

That's stupid. You have a very clear disclaimer up about them. No wonder your not to impressed.

I agree with Adam, there have been little things on here that bug me. Things like if 1 person complains threads go down, or if there is a moment of free thought threads get locked. I am on a POLICE forum that is so much less militant as this site is becoming.

And I agree, Cow. It is a bit unfair your art gets picked on like that, despite warnings.

I don't come here that often so I don't really notice everything going on, so I guess I'd better keep an eye on your DA page. Your art is cute and often very funny so I know I'll be looking forward to seeing it on DA. It seems really unfair your art gets picked on when there are clearly warnings when they are nessecary.

Where is Mania with all this ? I wonder why she would let her site run like this.

I totally know how you feel.
I'm taking leave of this site for a while as well.
I know I'm being horrible (I just joined my first RP in ages!), but I have a serious bone to pick with a lot of what's been going on.
All the people I talk to on here have my dA, which means you all also now have my tumblr. For those who don't have them, dA and tumblr.
The only thread I'll be posting in is the pet challenge one.

She's the administrator of this site; if she doesn't want to get involved, then she's effectively shirking her responsibilities. No, I think that there are other reasons for what appears to be a lack of activity from Mania.

Good luck cowmu, I'm in a similar boat myself. I think theres a good deal of, i dont know how you put it, petopia old-regulars (maybe?) out there that have just become more and more detached from these forums.

Ever since Cata came or so (just picking a point), it felt like these forums changed into more typical trolling/QQing than before.

Heck, maybe it was once hunters got 25 stable slots. No one was complaining that they wanted 50 slots or 100 slots back when we only had 5 to choose from (or 3 for those who played hunters back then).

Or maybe when they took the green coloring from the regular posters away...

Agreed. If theres no response from a leader about controversial things that happen then the practiced behavior is automatically assumed to be correct and those that assert those practices become stronger and stronger, whereas the leader can become weaker.

Maybe the petopian forums are like an adolescent teenager during their "trouble years" for Mania.
