I wanted to represent my main, Grimsley. Here's my best stab at sig-making:

That's really lovely!

Not that I'm an expert, but I know what I like.

Hm, now that I'm looking at it, I'm having trouble telling that Grim's a hunter >.>
Mayhap I should try and add a bow onto his human form's back. *ponder*

That looks awesome! The only thing I can think of is that the moon has an odd dark border on one side, but that might be intended. I like it a lot!
Oh, to make him look huntery, maybe a quiver. His armor at the moment makes him look very titan-y, like a warrior or paladin.

Fixed up the moon- don't even now how that edge got darker o_O
Added a quiver since I couldn't seem to rotate bows to look proper on his back.

Much better with the quiver.
Is it possible to make the worgen transparent? I think that would help, too.

Adjusted the transparency on the worgen, resized & some finishing touches. Cut an avatar from the moon portion

I think I'm done but I'll still take feedback/change suggestions, definitely keeping the layered version incase I notice a glaring issue later >.> Thanks everyone for your feedback so far!

Nirvana, if you don't mind me asking, what are the techniques you used for the worgen and moon for your sig? I'd like to improve my photoshop skills and I totally love what you did with your sig. :3

Nice job!
The one flavor thing I'd like to see WoW do--even more than armor dye or cosmetic armor slots--is to display ranged weapons on characters when idle. I'm a hunter; I don't want to show off my stat stick. I want to show off my Boomstick!

Quick question: with outline on Grimsley or without?

I would go without the outline. The outline itself provides some separation if you want the human form to appear "in front of" the signature, whereas I prefer the transition from human form to worgen without it. It just seems like you can see more of the fact that it is a worgen without the outline. Overall though, the sig looks great

Now if you want to just make one for me

lol jk
EDIT: Just curious, did you also darken the background because the worgen form doesn't appear as prominent in the outlined version, because the clouds also seem a bit darker

Very nice! I like it with the outline. It stands out so much more while without it just blends in and looks bland.

Alright, gonna leave it with an outline for now, cause I do want his human side to "stand out" more - alot of backstory on that one, but in a nutshell all his happy, fond memories are tied to his human self, before he was a worgen.
I did make the worgen a bit more transparent, Quietstorm. It seemed to me like it blended in more with the clouds that way, but still stood out just enough
edit: Tyger, the worgen is simply a screenshotted model of a (naked) worgen from WoWmodelviewer, as a 50% transparency layer. I experimented with blending techniques (multiply, overlay, etc) but ultimately decided to simply leave it normal.
Your basic moon-and-stars background is actually relatively easy to make if you have the right brushes. I happened to have this one laying around from long ago, so I can't say for sure what brushes were used.
I also usually do a copy all visible layers, then paste a new layer containing everything. I do a Gaussian Blur at about 3-5 pixels (in this one it was 5) and set the opacity to 30-50% (in this one it's about 38%). This smoothes out the edges and makes everything "flow" more nicely together.
Brushes are easy to find on deviantart, if you're interested in ones to help you make moon-and-stars backgrounds, or even a variety of other things.

Thank you for that Nirvana; I'll keep all that in mind for the future.
