So I'm on WrA, which has a lot of tribal RP guilds. Jumping on the bandwagon, I decided yesterday to create an orc huntress to join one; I'm a huge RP fanatic. Then today, I decided that I'd also like a troll. I already have an idea for the female troll's stable--girly/festive-colored fierce things, to be precice--but I'm having a bit of a hard time finding any other than Winna's kitten and the hot pink Serpents. The orcess named Ngora, I sadly have no idea what to do with. Same goes for the RP side of the troll.

TL;DR:
Female Orc: Ngora, No idea what theme yet, No Idea about RP
Female Troll: No Name yet, Festive and-or girly things, No Idea about RP

In general, I feel there are a great number of pets that pair up wonderfully for a Troll from an RP perspective. These choices would include:

Bats
Beetles
Cats (which you have already mentioned Winna's Kitten for this category)
Crabs
Crocolisks
Devilsaurs
Dragonhawks
Gorillas
Monkeys
Raptors
Ravagers (a little more far-fetched RP-wise, but the colorfulness of their skins I think would work out beautifully for your theme)
Scorpids
Serpents (you already mentioned one of the pinkish/purple ones as a possible choice)
Silithids
Spiders
Tallstriders
Warp Stalkers
Wasps
Windserpents

My advice is to give yourself some ample time to develop a backstory or at least, a general idea of who your Troll is as an individual. Where was she born? Who are/were her parents? Are/were they once affiliated with other tribes besides the Darkspears (i.e: forest trolls, desert trolls, jungle trolls, or ice trolls)? Once you've laid that foundation, you can select pets that naturally thrive in those particular kinds of environments.

Same advice would apply to your Orc Hunter as well. Orcs are tough breed and as such, need strong, rough n' gruff types of pets as their companions. Just stay away from anything that appears too dainty and delicate and you should be fine.

OK, so I'm thinking I'm probably going to drop the Orc and make the troll as soon as the servers get back up. In the meantime, I'll be browsing Petopia (This thread inculded once it gets more replies) and searching for names for the Trolless. Suggestions for pets are greatly appriciated!!

Woo, I love me some Troll huntresses! If you like punny, yet still RP-appropriate names, I offer "Menazahri" (menagerie, geddit?), a name I used for a low level rare challenge huntress right before Cata. I'm not sure if you're looking for concept inspiration, but one of my favorite troll hunters was a Goblin-esque showboater who roamed far and wide drinking (mostly), fishing (occasionally), and discovering (read: plundering) rare and exotic treasures and creatures, which he exhibited in a traveling show. Another favorite, my oldest troll huntress, is a potion doc who raises poisonous/toxic pets.

Pets you mentioned:

There are loads of birds who fit the festive vein, so I'm including them even though I know some trolls wouldn't be caught dead with a flighty, feathered beast. Many of these are quite high level, but there are still plenty of low-ish level ones to choose from while your huntress levels up. More brightly-coloured pets than you can shake a tropical drink at:





The green beetle is especially gorgeous and really needs to be seen up close to be properly appreciated:
