Sorry for the delay on starting this thread. I was....indisposed. With Dante. (Pic below, story of my escorting him to the Molten Front is on my blog. Dante himself is a 4.2 pet and I'm sticking to that for his inclusion here.)

So way back in the mists of time, Ban'thalos, the green spirit owl, was discovered on the PTR. The screenshots of him were beautiful and intriguing, but when Sasrei brought him to me so that I could see him in person, I knew I had found the 4.2 rare that spoke to me. I came to bond very closely with Deth'tilac, and Magria has always had a special place in my heart, but it's Ban'thalos who snared me and demanded my attention and love, and at 8:20 server time, nearly seven and a half hours after the live servers came up, it's Ban'thalos who found me waiting for him to come home. He didn't disappoint.

AHHH this isn't fair! D: my computer was taken in to be repaired yesterday so I can't go tame anything! It's not fair seeing all these threads pop up, waah.

It'll pick up when people start taming the other seven, no doubt. Also, if a mod wants to shift all the other realm first threads in here, it exists.

I got Banthy tonight as well!

Might want to leave my thread though, as the tidbit about using X to move down proved very usefull.

My Banthy was a realm first, and I'm proud of myself for that

Not sure if it is kind to use him in an instance though, he puts on QUITE the show!

He is also pretty darned amusing when stealth-ed.



He's gorgeous to look at but not that photogenic a birdie really, hard to get a shot of him that does him justice-which is one of the reasons I was iffy about him, the screenshots I saw of him didn't seem that grand.

Bah! lol I got server first Magria on Azuremyst but never posted it because I wanted to do the Thrall line and stuff that I couldn't do while camping.
As soon as the servers came back up (earlier than expected, yep) I rushed my butt, quests in hand to Hyjal, and with the speed of a thousand Cheetahs did whatever quests were available to get my 12 marks, and unlock the phase the beasts spawn in.
I basically counted the hours that I sat out there by the amount of haste foods that I ate. Bryn came out and sat with me when she finished her quests, as well as one of my officers. Had someone who was doing sweeps now and again end up overcamping me, but they had the decency and respect to allow me to tame unscathed when my beloved companion spawned!
After the tame, I decided that since my Spectral Tiger Cub looked absolutely fabulous with Magria, and we could mount with pets out again- so I got on my Speccy and just about died. They are a perfect little family! I love it. Now for pics!





I need a great name for her now. I will be pondering it while prancing around like a dork with my shiny new friend. I do, however, have a name for Anhka when I get her

DAY 1:
After 12 hours of non-stop camping I finally got Ban'thalos!
Argent Dawn US server first. <3


DAY 2:
And after two hours of Deth'tilac camping today, I got the (what I'm guessing to be) server second Solix!


Then after 3 hours of camping, Deth'tilac spawned! I tagged him right away but there was another hunter who showed up and tried to steal the tame! It was a long fight over the spider. I got Deth close to 20% with Solix, but wouldnt get him down to the last 20% because I know this jerk of a hunter would ruin this tame. so we fought over him with distracting shot for a long time and I kept telling him to please stop trying to steal, and eventually he tried to convince me that we had been camping longer (he was camping Skarr, though and has recently lost him to another hunter, so no he was NOT camping longer than me. He showed up to Deth's spot after losing Skarr, when Deth spawned shortly after). He also was saying things like "I play my hunter more!! This is my main!" Which he had no proof or argument over. I'm on my hunter so much, probably as much as he is on his, and either way it didn't matter because I had tagged Deth and had been camping int hat spot for three freaking hours, and I knew te tame and wanted to get it oe with! So then my friend whispers me telling me that Ankha is up and I'm like "oh CRAP!" because Ankha is the spirit cat I wanted the most so I'm freaking out more with both this Deth problem and Ankha being up so I go to my brain for help! I remember seeing the jerk hunter dieing to Deth at the beginning after I pulled him, so using this knowledge I assumed he was bad and didn't know what he was doing, so I let him kite Deth'tilac for a bit while I dismissed Solix and what not. Well, it didn't take him long to die by Deth Strike, which dropped Deth down to the proper amoutn of help, so I threw down an ice trap, disengaged, and tamed, thus giving me Argent Dawn's server second Deth'tilac!


But as soon as he was tamed I didnt even take a deep breath to calm myself before hopping on my raptor mount and getting the hell out of there! I got into a group with my friend, flew out to the stable master to drop off a pet to make room (and somewhere between taming Deth and taming Ankha I switched from Marks to BM, but I have no memory at all of when I did so XD) flew back down, put on my brewfest gear, and tamed. Luckily I didnt have to worry about mobs because I knew my friend would have my back, but Also Ankha happened to be in a very nice spot! XD So yay! Server second Ankha!

Thanks to my friend Cari for letting me know about Ankha and keeping an eye on her! <3

So after Ankha I took a bit of a breather before going back to camping, but when I went back into the Molten Front for Kirix, I saw Skitterflame up!! I wasn't going to camp for Skitter but I knew if I accidentally ran into him I'd have to tame x.x; Darn you Skitter for being so cute!! Server second.


So after Skitterflame I camped for an hour when Kirix showed up! I had a lot of trouble with him of course. xP I tried to do the "legit tame" but failed so much with it x.x so I eventually went to the rock, and after a few more fails I got him! Server second Kirix! <3


DAY 3:
Nothing happened on day 3.

DAY 4:
Skarr tamed! Story and screenshot coming soon!

Oh dear god I'm still not breathing properly. Just got the server first Deth'tilac!!!

EDIT: Okay, so for more details...

I had completed my first set of dailies earlier today of course. I was hanging around tonight waiting for them to reset when I learned of the double-reset trick. It worked, so I was able to complete two more sets of dailies right after one another and gained access to the Molten Front.

Well...EVERY RARE was up! There was almost no one there. I bolted towards Deth's area, and sure enough I see the purple legs appear around the corner. My brain gave out on me and I went into some sort of crazed adrenaline mode. He reset three times before I was able to stabilize myself and start the tame properly. I never could have done it without Kalli and her help. <3 We got him down to 20%, and I started the tame...

Half a second away from completion...BLACK SCREEN. My computer decided to $@#%ing restart itself for Windows Updates. WORST TIMING EVER. It felt like an eternity while I was swearing and waiting for it to turn on again. Eventually I got back into WoW, and sure enough Deth was there by my side. Nearly had a heart attack! I can't even believe he's beside me now, that I managed to grab him at such a perfect opportunity with no competition. Definitely feels like fate. ^_^

Server first Molten Front tame! Okay, so Dethecus is sleepy and backwater, but I DO NOT CARE! Kirix is mine! <3<3<3<3<3

And he did get to kill me once too, the lil' bugger. I forgot NR aura again! Tame was flawless the second time.





Skarr was up rather than that Karkin, so I will probably have to fight for Karkin a bit. I refuse to remove Skarr by any means in order to force a spawn.
