Terrorpene spawn spot and other questions (new here)

Hello all! New to the forums. I've been lurking for about 2 years 
. Sorry in advance, pretty long read!
I finally decided to level a hunter on my new server. Got to 60 easily, but got burned out. Then the past week I went from 60-80 of which I hit on Monday.
So I go to Hyjal and race as fast as I can to 81. In about an hour I hit 81 while doing some quests and decided to finish them for the gear upgrades, since I knew Terrorpene is a pain.
Got my resistance potions, haste potions and food. I finished the quests, flew over to his spawn area and there he was! ... DEAD ugh!
So now I'm thinking, had I not finished those quests maybe I would have him.
Anyways. Does he have specific spawn spots in the little half circle he pats? I've been trying to sift through 200+ posts about him, but that takes a while. If so could someone show me with a map?
Also. What are his spawn timers? I read through about all of the wowhead comments. I want to say something like 6-24 hours? Has anyone heard/seen less or more?
I camped from 2pm EST on Tuesday as well, until about 10pm and no luck. Logged on at around 4am and have camped until now (6:20am) and nothing yet.
Only post that I read that threw me off was a post saying someone tamed him 3 hours after a server restart. I assume this was not true unless restarts don't affect him.
Any info on him would be great! Now that 4.2 is out it's going to be a pain to tame this guy unless it's very early hours that he spawns. Just last night I probably saw at least 5-7 hunters looking and I'm on a Low-med pop realm.
