hi guys and gals
i been doing a lot of reading on bm hunters (me being one my self)
i love being a bm/suv hunter bm for the pets and solo no other class can solo like a bm hunter
but at lvl 80 seems there no good resion to keep bm we are limted on stable space (change to come i hear)
we cant dps like the best do
and it all comes down to pvp/pve
seems from what i read in one fourm or the other that bm kind of got black balled in an arena 3v3
2 bm hunters and 1 shamy rule that year the 2 hunters rotated there bw and the shamy cast what ever spell they do and just ate every thing in there path (hats off boys great job)
now it seems wow cant fig out how to give bm hunters the much needed buffs to there class to make them a worthy player in pve (raids) with out afecting the pvp(arena) so they dont have a redo of that year
well seems very easy to me and i love to hear what you guys think
ARMOR seems to be the answer to me we could have 2 types one set for DPS and another set for TANKING
or even just one set that we could gem up to our own needs the gear could only be used by bm hunters but not in arena
of course it would be something we would have to learn and i dont think it shouldnt be cheap 1k or so
i love the idea that bm hunters are a part from the crowd we are in a class by our selfs
i have spend weeks looking for my pets sprit cat and sprit bear just sitting there when others are making gold and doing dailys we spend our time on the hunt
our investment is not in gold or emblems but our pets i would just love to see my sprit bear (fatazz) in a set of armor helping out the tank in oxy or just dumping the dps out and for once seeing a bm hunter on the top for dps

I'm not entirely sure I follow what you're saying here.

I agree that as BM, we do focus a lot on our pets. I spent a solid week (and lots of time outside that week) hunting Gondria. Whenever I get a tell or a comment about her, I grin like a proud momma. Same goes with the white devilsaur. Not as difficult to find of course, but people just really seem to like the big fella.

What sets us apart from other hunters is that our pets contribute so highly to our overall DPS. We aren't a tanking class, we are a DPS class. Hunter pets have the ability to tank, and it's useful in situations where you are solo-ing or need an off-tank for a fight. But the versatility and usefulness of hunters really shines when we're ranged.

The problem with BM right now is that we have mostly talent points that focus on giving our pets more damage or more health, whereas MM and SV end up with things like Chimera Shot and Explosive Shot. Bestial Wrath is indeed nice, but we lack the abilities with shorter cooldowns and don't get "trick arrows" unless we branch out into SV or MM.

The idea of taking our pets (30% of dmg) and reducing that dmg by turning them into a tank is counterproductive to the cause, I believe. Also, we don't want special gear for BM only - how difficult would it be to complete a set or get good gear? It can be hard enough now, waiting for the Mail with Agil/Stam and not Stam/Int to drop. Further specialization in gear could be a nightmare.

Diverting focus away from what we're supposed to do (DPS) would only make us WORSE at DPS, which is the issue right now, that we lag behind SV and even further behind MM.

BM got buffed in today's patch, so the jury is out.

So you would have drops that would only be usable for a specific spec? I don't think that idea would work, unfortunately.
