I was camping waiting for one of the kitties to spawn when npcscanner goes off and who do I see but Ankha! I quickly fly to her dismount and hit tame, only to have some hunter DS her .. die instantly cause she had all her gear on and me going back to tame. I however agroeed that mobs somehow so had to FD, unfortunately at a wrong spot so I went splat. Luckily quickly back to get health up quick and check again, thinking she had to have gotten tamed but no! I see her strolling around.. no time to find my bow *face palm* hit tame, and no damage whatsoever, few seconds left see a goblin hunter land right beside me.. hits DS, and steals my tame. Couldnt find my bow in time to do anything but stare and watch.. I then switched to ask her blantantly what the hell was wrong her (yes I know not nice.. but really I was pissed off) and she just laughed it off like it was no big deal and thats it. I said I had two seconds left why would you DS off me when I had it almsot tamed?! And she just said.. Yes thank you for the help! Wasnt thata thrill? QQ more itll spawn again.

I dont get that... I guess I never will get it. I know itll respawn again, but I will never say that its right for anyone to do that to anyone else.
Next time I am having my bow ready.. lessons learned, you try it again and good ole DS until it dies.. cause right now I dont care.

Urrgh, I also don't understand why people do that. Just cuz it'll spawn again doesn't mean they have the right to go and steal it mid-tame. That's just plain rude

That's not cruel, it's just rude. Cruel would have been killing it as you were taming.

I do not grasp why there's not a pet immunity during tames. I'm sure there's ways to code it so it can't be abused; it's just freaking irritating when people are such utter jerks.

Sadly, the only thing Ive really seen stop people from tame-stealing is tagging it beforehand. I would recommend not taking off your bow next time (if that kept you from tagging it, Im not sure from your story) I tamed Magria with my ranged and staff still equipped, they didn't cause me any damage.

I'm in no way defending what that other hunter did though, Im just making commentary. That's about the meanest and low-life thing a hunter can do to another Hunter. I recommend the site listed above for sure! =|

I know i have been having allys stalking me while camping for a kitty this patch really did bring out some a$$ holes ._. one hunter came and told me "no" was a ally as well ._.

Definitely shitty when someone steals/tries to steal your tame. Had someone steal my Ghostcrawler, was so bummed. Went out to Twilight Highlands to finish some quests though, and there was Karoma! I named her Karma and she's definitely my favorite pet - and the one I wanted more anyway They'll get theirs, and you'll get yours, in the end. Better to be on the positive end of the spectrum even if you feel like you lost in the beginning.
