Which little spot does he exactly spawn on? I wanna be sure I'm standing in the right spot.

There are three of them. Two near Dante, one off the east side of Fireplume.

Fireplume I see on the map............ Dante I do not, where is that?

*grin* Dante is the scorpion just to the east of where Kirix spawns at the Furnace. The two rocks in question are easily reachable from there.

How do you get there without running through the gauntlet of fire that does damage? Or do you?

It's way too complicated to get up there, jmho. I want to tame a pet, and I don't want to have to solve a Rubix cube blindfolded just to get there.

These are challenge tames They aren't supposed to be easy!

I can't wait to try and start looking for skarr. Too busy for that still though. I'll wait a little bit.

The tame is easy enough. Jumping around like a kangaroo on speed AFTER wiggling past an otherwise useless flame wall (so I assume you have to go suicidal marshmallow mode) has nothing to do with the tame itself and doesn't seem to have deterred everything from hunters trying to tame, to DKs (yeah, not sure why he was going up there). I took one look at the floating rocks, looked back at the flame wall, killed myself, and took rez sickness. Between over camping and the head ache of getting just to where I was, I just don't care anymore.

I found a nice spot, see, it doesn't move and I can see both spots!

I managed to get through the furnace a few times without dying, but on both times I was a bit dumb and scurried off the ledge instead. Will be wiser next time ¬.¬ If you run by the left side of the flames, you'll easily avoid most of the damage. Just a case of not running through Kirix after that, if he happens to be up.

Uh. Rawr? That's the third spot you're standing on! If either spawned there, you'd be eaten! D: Somehow, though, especially with the caption, that makes it funny... <3

There's actually a path on the other side of the fire. Kirix's path stops before it and you can cut across the center of the Furnace over to the other fire patch, but there's more room to cut through on that side without danger. (It was not always like that, so thank Blizz for tweaking that!) The flames DO eventually phase out via questing!

I guess being bad at Super Mario Bros. is a good thing. I rezzed and took sickness and now here I am on Fireplume Ridge. But I think somebody got Skarr though. ;_; I saw a pet named 'Shadowclaw' but couldn't see what it was when I was failing to jump to the island.

Word of wisdom here - don't stop doing dailies to camp if you're bad at jumping. :) Build up the marks and turn them in to recruit the Druids of the Talon - they catch you when you fall around that area, and fly you back up to the ledge. It takes a bit, but it's a heck of a lot shorter than a corpse run. <3

I got impatient. XD I'll get the hang of it eventually.

Two of the spawn points are closer to the Furnace anyway, so definitely keep doing dailies to unlock the druids. You'll have to be mobile over there regardless of when.

not trying to derail but has anyone tried scatter shot to interrupt the cast?

I hate those floating rocks. They just throw me off, or I land outside and fall.

Can someone PLEASE take CLEAR screenshots of Skarr's spawn points and give them to me- would apreciate it much
