Ok so quick question for you all. Would it be ethical to use a scroll of protection, which raises armor value by 400, on people trying to grief hunters by killing the spirit cats?

LOL -- do it! Hey, after all, it's your 20 bucks a month, just as they say when they grief the one taming :D

On the ethical note, friend used bandages to prevent a hunter who was being rude to the other four waiting on Skarr from taming. Not sure if he was killed by Skarr or not after, he was laughing too much. He didn't tame him tho, so maybe Karma didn't like him after that?
(I am keeping armor scrolls on me while I search for Mag, just incase I find a jerkish non-hunter who knows how to not die and is trying to kill or something /shrug.)

Yes. Any and all means necessary. Since they hotfixed it, you don't need to apply it to people trying to steal with distracting shot anymore.

If you have a “free for all” viewpoint like I do, who cares if it’s ethical. The real question should be “will Blizzard consider it harassment” if you purposely throw armor type buffs on someone trying to tame whatever beasts hit you harder the more armor you’re wearing. If they’ll consider it breaking the rules, then don’t do it. If they won’t, then it’s fair game.

Also, an ever bigger question is this: How many people are going to try this in order to grief and/or interfere with hunters taming these types of beasts now that the idea is posted on here?

I say do it. If they're griefing someone it's only fair to grief them right back. Sure it may not be the mature or even the RIGHT thing to do, but they're not doing the right thing either.
