Bananarchy in the Molten Front: Or, Commons are Cool too.

So I give up. I was kinda horrified and saddened after a dwarf and I accidentally killed Solix. I'm sick of that infernal giant pathing over me. I'm tired of fretting and worrying because there's 99 million people in the zone and any one of them might bumble by at a bad moment. I'm worried I won't make the challenge tame the first time. I feel bad my pets set off NPCscan because I want to use them during dailies. It's part of why I can't use my blue kitty as much as I'd like. :/

I gave up and picked up a common yellow spider. And y'know - I think I want to name him Banana or Bananarchy. He's still cool looking. I can use him guilt free in the zones. And he still thinks I'm pretty rad (At least, if spiders can think that kinda thing) for keeping him from being squished.

Perhaps one day I may go back and try for Anthiss or if I bumble onto her, but for now... Banana is my buddy. I for one, am grateful Blizzard offers a common option for at least some of the spiders. I liked Solix in person more than I thought but as I said, camping new rares is too much for me now. I wish those of you luck who want them on FM. It was about 9:30ish we failed at getting Solix.

And really, what I hope people take away from this is that while an awesome person helped me get my cat and camping can be rewarding - there's nothing wrong with the other Banana(TM).

(And frankly, I consider not blowing my eardrums out on zoning into Hyjal a perk. x_x ow).

For now? BANANARCHY IN THE MOLTEN FROOOOOONT.

I still have a soft spot for NotSkitta, the common red lava spider. :) Grats on Banana! <3

NotSkitter might be a good addition too. :D My philosophy on this now is that if I bumble onto one, I will tame it. Camping is just too stressful right now. I'll help people, but. This banana spider is awesome. <3

I will gladly take a common any day, if it's the same skin - and leave the 12-24 hour camps to the more masochistic hardcore players.

*woots and fistbumps* Yeah. I realized I was blowing people's eardrums out with my spirit beast. :( Banana is a good spider and I think I'm going to keep her. Solix would be nice if I run into 'im but otherwise... I just can't take the stress anymore. I'm getting old and this patch really brought out the asshats. :/

^ That is so true. You should've SEEN what it was like when Deth popped up, there were like ten hunters on him playing tug of war. eventually one got him, though.

Wow. That's pretty rough. I don't envy the poor soul who started it first. I've had both amazingly good and bad luck. I've run into some really, really nice people - and I am glad for that. But then I also ran into some serious buttclarinets.

Mmm I went and tamed one of the regular yellow ones too. I love the look of the purple one, but I know the tame will just be waaaay too stressful, not to mention all of MF is overrun with hunters right now. :? Ember and I are very happy together and enjoy our non-npcscan-triggering questing together. :)

I love the little triangle on the back of their butts. :D

Heh, I tamed a normal old spider as well. I don't do much in game, so it's nice to have a shiny new pet that I can use in MF, guilt free. ^.^

D'aww, the common yellow ones are very endearing. ^^ On the PTR I tamed one of them and named him Highlighter, he had quite the personality.

I think I'm going to also tame a normal. Green has been catching my attention and if any of you have poked my stable, you've seen quite a few green pets. Ahaha. I'd love Deth, but yeah...not right now. Perhaps in a couple months time, but right now, for me, I'd just be happy to have a new spider rare or not. :3

I swap between Azhar (Magria) and Asura (Deth) depending on whether I'm in Hyjal or the Front, so I can still have one of my newbies out to bond with, without blowing out eardrums. XD

That is the PERFECT name for that color. I was tempted to tame the "green" version of Gondria--before I realized that it's white, not green--"Glowstick." I guess I could call my green fire-spider that!

I was quite tempted by the common red spiders in the area, to get back on topic :P They are actually really good-looking, and it's a bit sad that they're being passed up. I am glad I managed to nab a "common" green one, too, even though it's almost as freaking rare as Kirix himself O.o

This is why I hope they remain tamable. xD They're a little bit of pocket luck, if you can find them!

Believe me, Novi...if I could find a common version of Skarr's skin, I'd take it in a heartbeat, so I wouldn't have to be spending countless hours staring at the same two little rocks, up to my armpits in night elves (and no offense intended to those of you here who have Kaldorei...but man there were a lot of them trying to get that cat today).

I think Skarr has a great look, and I adore his skin. In this particular instance, if I could find a common, non-"challenge" version of it, I'd choose that one.

I must be getting old or something.

And congrats on your PinaColadaspider too, Novi.

Hehe, thanks. And yeah no kidding, /I/ was shocked and I play Alliance so I'm used to packs of Night Elves. :P I really do hope you get that kitty. Even though my tames haven't gone as planned, I'm liking what I got. We did ticket a couple of griefers en masse at least.

I don't think you're getting old. I think it's just sensible in a lot of ways. Competing for a rare can be heartbreaking, stressful and boring. Do I have some non-unique rares? Ayup. But I like my thpiders.
