Serious names please
Myth, references, names that compliment the creature in some way etc are good.

Those gem skins make it look like the cat was made. You could call it Golem.

Mythical spiders include Arachne, Anansi, and Jorōgumo.

It's pushing 3 a.m. here and my brain is starting to fail on me, but I have a few feeble offerings that came to mind.

For Skarr:
Obsidian
Onyx
Slate

For either:
Ash
Cinder
Felsic (a type of lava)
Igneous (type of rock that forms lava)
Mafic (another type of lava)
Magma
Mantle
Rupture
Vulcan

For the spider, what about Olivine?

Olivine nephelinite lavas are a unique type of lava that is thought to have come from much deeper in the mantle of the Earth. Papakolea Beach also called green sand beach obtains it's green color from olivine.

The toxic green of Kirix makes me think of a bio-hazardous material almost, so perhaps Hazard?

Hm, a lot of good stuff here. Currently down to:
Skarr: Psilomelane, Anthra/cite or Vulcan
Kirix: Olivine, Bio/Hazard or Felsic

EDIT: Decided on Vulcan for Skarr, and Olivine for Kirix. Thanks for all the suggestions, peeps Bookmarking for future references.
