So I've managed to tame Banth and Anhkra, and am still looking for Maggy, but, with the absolute craziness going on within the Firelands, I can't see camping with 6-7 other hunters plus the gankers and such. If I happen to see one while I'm out there, I'll go for it, but not going to camp for a while.

Anyone else taking a break till it calms down?..

Me, definitely. I have never been good at camping though I tried a little last night for Anhka. I'm not normally so OMG MUST HAVE about spirit beasts, but goodness would she look beautiful with Constantyne - they have the same eyes I saw Banny and helped him find a home with an orc hunter who had been looking for him, but otherwise nothing. I will fly by the area as I do my dailies, but I'm not going to be camping - at least, not for a while.

The second I tame Kirix I'm done for a while. Or so I hope.

I think I'd like Solix or Ankha, but I'm mostly camping to help others for now.

I never go after any tames when they just come out because I know gankers and greifers will try and ruin my day. I may try to tame if I happen to come across them while I'm out there, but I never go out of my way for it. I know I will get them eventually once the hype dies down a bit.

I haven't set foot in Hyjal since patch day - I know better. I'm leveling my archaeology and chilling with some likeminded friends while feeling sorry for you guys out in the fray. I don't plan on picking anything up this time around regardless, but I'm not going to start the grind for my hippogryph for a few more days at least. The jerks are really coming out of the woodwork all of a sudden, and none of their asshattery is worth my time.

Besides, any pet I want will still spawn after people start clearing out. I would rather camp in a less crazed zone after everyone else than be the realm first and have to put up with this craziness.

well ive been here camping for a couple days and manage to get 8 out of 10 for the new pets all im missing is skitterflame and anhkra

Well, I'm camping for Maggy while waiting in LFG, but that's about it..

I got lucky and got Banny on day 3 after patch, but Firelands has been something else. I have no desire to tame one of the spiders, partly because they're creepy, and partly because they're cunning and if you're going to use a spider in pvp, why would you use one that's a great target? I dunno. I've camped a couple days for Skarr, and like Slickrock said having 6 or 7 other hunters on that rock is a bit much. They're going to have to rename it Hunter's Peak. Put up those Goblin signs maybe with the flashing lights "Come See The Most Wanted Cat In The Universe! =>".

Ah well, eventually.

I really only have interest in the two spirit kitties and luckily tamed Ankha. My server doesn't have many after the kitties afterall, last night was camping with a hordie who was going to let me have Mag if I didn't interfere with Ankha (Like I would), unfortunally an hour after I logged for the night Mag spawned and he got him. Oh wells, one less of the few remaining who seem to want the cats.

Well. I just tamed Skitter because no one wanted it. >_> Chipotle 2.0! All I'd like are Solix or Ankha really, but I'm doing my best not to let the gimmes take hold. Other people have been camping very hard for those two. If I see them, AWESOME! If not meh.

I really have no idea how I've ended up with all these spiders. o_o I never like spiders but these lava spiders? Totes awesome.

I really only wanted Banny and Deth but after nabbing Kirix and seeing Solix and Deth get killed, I think I will just log in, do my dailies, check the spawn point and leave. I'll be waiting until the place clears out as well.

I knew we'd have to expect the griefing aspect, but it saddened me the other night when Ban'thalos spawned on my server. I happened to be at the Malorne shrine when it occurred and of course there was a mass of players there. I counted 4 hunters without even trying. I didn't even think of trying to tame the beast myself under those circumstances. It would just be asking for trouble. But a few clearly thought they'd give it a go and to cut a long story short (20 minutes of entertainment tbh), someone brought the beast to earth and attempted a tame. Only for it to be killed by the other hunters present. It seemed such a waste to me. OK someone was lucky enough to get the tag and the first opportunity to tame, but to kill it out of spite... well. Need say nothing more really. I suspect this is the way of things unless you're very lucky to stumble across one of these rares at a private moment, as it were. It is a cruel virtual world we have in some respects, isn't it?

While everyone else is going for this I bagged a red Madexx on newly-85 Lyrothea and I'm out looking for Ghostcrawler as well now. Hey, may as well take advantage, right?

I tried that looking for Sambas, didn't work..

But, I did tame the 3rd of the three new spirit beasts (yea Maggy!) way too late last night. Came out of a FL rep grind group, almost logged but figured I would go over to set a place for camping today and BAM!

So now, I'm only going to go after the remaining Firelands ones when I'm out doing dailies, at least until things calm down a bit.

Well I tried. I did.. really. On Saon I have been because I know alot of my guildies want rares so I was waiting for a bit for it to die down. Managed to get her first rare Kirix ^.^

Sasrei.. I swear is a lucky son of a. She has 6 rares right now, and has seen all of them atleast once. Especially the spiders, noone really camps for them. Just skarr/karkin and I got lucky with Skarr today.

A good note is, say your not going to camp anymore. Not even 2 minutes later the one your camping for will pop

Lol, perhaps I already used that up on Maggy.

As I type this, someone in Org is bringing out a bunch of rares, NPCScan is going off like a christmas tree.

But I will NOT camp Skarr...

And I fail at jumping...

Can I join the club for people who fail at jumping? I now get an orc giggling at me every time they see me start to jump and frankly at this point I can't blame him. I even had a bloody rez timer from falling over.

I am, with the exception of running around doing FL dailies. I might as well aim for the hippogryph early while the hype about the new rares keeps me from camping them successfully.
