Niliana's Hunter Journal

Good morning world!

With the fire druids, and the opening of the dangerous fire portal.. there come a lot of new challenges.
:D

There are brand new, tricky beasts, amazing tactics, and they all can be tamed by me! Hunters have always used pets to their advantage. I decided to teach these beasts a lesson and bend them to my will.. but they're not always so open to that idea! These new pets prefer the wild, while most others will become transfixed by my beauty!

My first new tame came this morning after I crawled out of my tent by the warfront. My hunter instincts told me to run by the floating rocks past the flames on the pathway. I saw a wickedly wild green giant spider named Kirix. :o I had to have her, as everyone was scared of her, they left her all night. Oh my god. Exciting :D She had to be tired, so I tried to tame him the normal way! She wasn't having it, she knocked me back and stunned me, this stun had a poison that damaged me really fast and my skeleton was added to the already existing pile among the lava!

I knew I had to somehow get an advantage so climbed up the rocks. Those are some scary rocks! I was shaking with adrenaline and fear, but I sucked in my breath, grabbed her attention with a tame, timed her so she would start casting his poison. I summoned my shielding detterence and channeled cast again. After what seemed like ages.. she was mine! I died, but he was mine! :D Could you believe it? After all my bad luck with that big ugly purple spider, I finally tamed a willful creature. I call her Sansa, after her wild will. :)

Me and Sansa :3

I took a short break and decided to try to pursue some quests for my guild, I had a reputation to uphold! One of my dearest friends, Legy whispered me and told me he spotted a white cat by the name of Ankha prowling through the brush. I had heard tales of this beast. She ripped men to shreds, even through plate. No one stood a chance.. I disrobed and quickly tiptoed through the bushes. Who do I see sauntering around? A brilliant white spirit beast. I summoned my will and shielded myself, I tamed her easily. I couldn't believe my luck. I called her Arya for her strength.

I continued questing with my two beloved companions beside me, Sansa webbing anyone who dared challenge me.. and Arya slashing through scales with her sharp claws.

Someone told me terropene had spawned. I quickly mounted my magic steed and flew south. I was dissapointed, he wasn't there. He would be my Viserys, but not quite yet. :)

I flew back, a little deflated but not much.. when low and behold! A gorgeous turquoise owl is flying above the stag statue. I quickly get atop a tree (we hunters need to be nimble!) drop one of my special ice traps and grab her attention. I heard he had powerful magic, they were sure right. But, I was clever and tamed him with ease.

Varys and my flex
It was a beautiful day, despite the war going around me. I decided to try to tame the big purple spider..

He is so rightly named Deth'Tilac. If he hits you, he kills you...BUT his health drops 10%! I was shaking with nerves and gave a final farewell to my shale spider. She gave a fair fight and fought with all her might. Alas, Fito and my efforts weren't enough to tame this beast as a cruel hunter bested her first. :(

Ah well, tomorrow is another day. I will best this Deth Tilac. He will be mine.

Until then, I need to rest and eat some bread before I die of exhaustion.

Forever yours,
Niliana

What a successful week!

I have managed to tame every single beast I've met, matched their challenges, and even bested the same one twice!

First, I took some fun photos of my journey with my friends, thought you all should see how vibrant my world is. :)

Hunter fun, feign death pile!

I woke up the very next morning, only wearing my tabard. I was one with nature, my feet bare, my thighs exposed to the wind. The night had been good to my camp, no enemies had spotted my makeshift tent and a small family of squirrels ran past my feet as I was preparing my morning break. I wasn't quite prepared for what happened just as I sunk my teeth in a fried egg...!

Magria strolled right through my camp! He didn't seem to mind my being there, but I knew.. I just knew I had to have him at my side. A majestic blue spirit beast would help to bring any foe to his knees!

I picked up my bow and shot a warning shot at him to grab his attention. His brow wrinkled and his whiskers pushed forward in anger. I quickly shielded myself and channeled tame. Towards the end of the encounter, one of his claws slashed through the muscle of my upper thigh. I nearly faltered, but I pushed through.

She is mine now, my Osha, my ultimate companion.

It was time to help my fellow heroes to fight in the firelands. I took Osha to the battlegrounds, watched as she tore flame druids from limb to limb, she offered a steady shoulder for the injured, and nuzzled my hand when I wasn't feeling so brave.

While Osha and I were in battle with a Molten corehound, my arrow drawn back, her claws ripping at the hound's face, I received a message from a guild mate of mine, and an old friend,Zurox. ''Anthriss is here!'' Now, Anthriss is one of the many spiders who's will I wished to tame. I wanted this deadly force next to me and in my pack. I dismissed Osha, promising her more blood in the next battle, and mounted my scorpion, a gift from my guild.

When I arrived at the slope, my tauren friend had engaged the spider. Anthriss ripped him to shreds within seconds. I quickly shot him and dove into the nearest lava pit. I had attracted the attention of a behemoth as well.. just my luck! They were both eating my face, my health was dropping..! I barely remembered to pop my shield up and barely tamed this wild beast of a spider. We showed the behemoth who was boss at the end!

I was exhausted after the encounters with both Osha and Anthriss, I passed out at the entrance of the Molten Front.

I woke up with one of my friends slapping me in the face, a fellow huntress by the name of Mirina. ''Terropene is up!'' She shouted at me as she shook me by my shoulders. I bolted up so fast that I nearly fell off the cliffside. My lava turtle was swimming, the famed beast who has claimed many friends and foes alike.

I flew on my steed as fast as she would carry me. I landed on a boulder in the middle of the lava lake and started my tame. I didn't have any tactics in my head, I just knew I had to have the dragon turtle.

With my luck, I knew I'd have to set camp at the spider's den. I knew I had to have him, I was on a roll.

I organized my tent to be just out of his sight, my shale spider keeping my company. I explained to her that she would be set free if she would help me tame this Demi-god. She clicked her legs together, a positive sign she would risk her very own life for my own. She knew how important this spider was to me and understood the test I set for myself.

About three hours into our camp, just after lunch, Deth'Tilac stuck his head out from behind the Forlorn Spire. He was awe-inspiring, the fires licked his legs as he waited for his prey. I nodded to Ariana and we charged in, my poor shale spider serving as bait while I chipped away at his armor with my arrows. Halfway through, a guild mate of mine (Kalagar) came back and helped me. He was incredibly low on health, I thought I'd lose him..! Then he sat at my side and looked at me, the body of my shale spider sitting atop my ice trap. Ariana will be reborn, but I would still miss her.

I captured my spider. My Demi-god, my ultimate test. I named him Imnotaspider, because he meant so much more to me than an eight-legged creature.

I have more stories of the rest of my conquests, but I'm afraid I don't have the time to share at the moment. My Druids of the Talons need me to test the temperature of the lava pools once again.

Until next time,
Niliana
