Amazing how my brain goes to mush...

when I see the rare I want.
I'm back on the free 7 days. I've been tempted to come back with the new minipets and I really wanted Magria. My first day I ran around and did the quest chain for my Panther Cub and then ran to Winterspring to pick up the Winterspring Cub and start the mount dailies. I also started in on the quest chain in Hyjal after realizing I couldn't just walk in and tame Magria. I wasn't sure on how much I needed to do and assumed I needed to get to Firelands before the area was phased for me. So I didn't even try for Magria the first night.
Today, I started in like normal. Flew to Hyjal, did my dailies. Did Tol Barad dailies, tried for my White Hawkstrider, did Tournament dailies, tried for Blue Proto-Drake... ok done. Came here to try and find out where and when I can actually get to Magria and find out I could have camped it yesterday, crap. So I put the IDs in NPCScan and head on over since I'm done with my daily routine.
Hop the portal to Hyjal and start flying towards the Regrowth. Remember I made an equipment macro yesterday so I dropped it on my toolbar. No sooner after I put it on I get the WHAM! from NPCScan that I totally was NOT expecting. Target it.. it's Magria! Wait.. where'd it go!? The phasing was a bit wonky and it vanished for a bit making my worry. There it is! Incoming brain dead. I manage to land without falling, go me! (Note: For Loque and Sambas I killed my mount a little too early and took fall damage.) Pop Deterrence and start the tame. Going good.. SMACK. Oh, oh hey... you know that macro I put on my bar just a second before NPCScan went off? Yeah, I forgot to hit it. Derp.
So I hit respawn and luckily it's close by. Find my body, pop up, get aggro and have to Feign. Ok, now to find Magria again. Hop on my Drake and head in the direction it was running and I see another Hunter ahead of me. Oh no. I manage to find it again first and land safely again (yay!). I hit my armor macro, doesn't work. Hit it again... again. Ok third time worked. Hit tame without Deterrence because it was still on cool down. Magria gets to me right as the other Hunter comes down and starts to bare hand him in the butt trying to steal it. Magria turns and cancels my Tame. A little annoyed as this is the first I've run into someone trying to steal a tame, I hit Distracting Shot and start my Tame again. She continues to beat Magria on the behind trying to get it back but fails, and my Tame finishes. I get a /rude emote and she flies off.
Now I do feel a bit guilty for taking it back, but they did steal it off me. I was on the ground and didn't see her anywhere until Magria was on me taking swings. I think I was about halfway done with my Tame when she pulled hate off me. Had she gotten to it before me, while I would have been really upset that my stupidity lost me the tame, I would not have interfered with her. I was really worried I would have caught up to her only to find her in mid-Tame with Magria. So dear Goblin if you visit these forums and see this post, I'm sorry and I do wish you luck next time.
I'm rather happy. I got my lovely blue kitty, the new kitty companions, and while in Winterspring yesterday I happened upon a rather lovely Rak'shiri that joined my Pride as well. Oh, and though not a Cat I did find Nuramoc gliding around the Nether and decided to give him a home as I've always liked his coloring.
Anywho, kitties.
I was thinking about naming him Nebel(German for Mist if I remember correctly) or a slight variation, Nebelian.
