Hope - A journal

I've seen so many wonderful journals in these forums, and I wanted to give my own a shot. It's not very long, and the screenshots aren't very creative, but I hope (teehee!) you all will enjoy. This is the introduction of Constantyne and Whitnee's youngest child, their daughter Willoe, and her worg Hope.
----

This is me, Willoe Dawntreader. Before you ask, yes that is my real last name. Yes, it's an extraordinary odd name to hear on a human-looking girl. That's what happens when your dad is a blood elf. I get questioned about it all the time.

See what I mean? That pretty lady you see there beside me - the wolf, not the guard - is my baby girl, Hope. She isn't just a pet to me - she is my best friend.

Hope has been with me all my life - since before I was even born, actually. You see, my dad's a hunter, too, and his most faithful companion is his black worg, named Whitney after my own mother. When mama was pregnant with me, Whitney had a litter of three pups. One was pure, snowy white, and was instantly claimed by my big sister Bastienne. The next one, the only boy of the three, was a reddish-brown color. He went to my brother Costin.
And then, there was Hope.

My pregnancy hadn't been an easy one on mama. The doctors didn't know why - something just wasn't quite right. She's told me that her and my dad used to stay up every night, crying and praying that I would be all right. They couldn't even feel me kicking in her stomach. As mom's due date grew closer, they told my dad to try and be strong for my mom and my siblings, because they were sure I'd be stillborn.
When they were laying together in bed one night, Hope - barely old enough to even see or walk - crawled into their bedroom and whined. Dad picked her up and put her in mama's arms, hoping she would bring her some comfort. As mama held her against her chest and cried, they felt me kick for the very first time. After that first kick, mama said I never stopped again - not until I was born a week later, perfectly healthy.
And you can bet Hope was right there, ready to lick my face clean.
We've been inseparable ever since.

I'd like to make you a gift, just need some information:
1. Your screen resolution
2. The gear that Whitnee is wearing
3. Whitnee & Hope's favorite place in WoW

Airwyn, Lupis, Meepitco thank you guys so much! I went from not being super attached to Willoe’s character to absolutely loving her when I thought up the story of Hope.
And Methuselah, I don’t know what to say, I am so speechless! I saw some of the graphics you made in your screenie thread and they left me in awe. Thank you so much – the idea of a gift just has me giddy! As for your information:
Screen resolution: 1366 x 768
Right now, Willoe is wearing:
Chest – Goldshire Heavy Jacket
Wrist – Borderlands Bracers
Hands – Lion-Stamped Gloves
Waist – Outfitter Belt
Legs – Spymaster’s Legs
Feet – Weather-Worn Boots
Tabard – Stormwind Tabard
As for Willoe and Hope’s favorite place, that would have to be the forests of Eversong Woods. They visited Eversong often when Willoe was a child, on trips to see her elven grandparents. While her siblings loved being in Silvermoon City, Willoe much preferred exploring and running through the forests with Hope, taking the occasional dip in Lake Elendrar and playing in its waterfall.

Oooh nice, glad to see Willoe up and about! I like the way you did the journal, but you said youve seen journals in these forums. I wasnt sure what you were referring to, do a lot of people write journals for their characters? I was going to do one with Aylee, maybe a few pics or whatever, kicked the idea around. I like how you did it.

Quiv: I’m not sure if a lot of people do it, but I’ve seen several posted here in these forums. I’d love to see one from Aylee, especially since you are so incredible with your screenshots!
And Litlemouse: Thank you!

The Journals I assume Gig speaks of:
This one is mine, of Saren "Solaira" Suncaller. I do this differently than most, she swaps pets every zone.
This is Varethyn's, of Lakita Wildsong. This one is done "properly" so to speak, new pet every five levels.
This is LupisDarkmoon's 2.0 journal, following a dwarf and his bear, Splotch. Also done differently, via Lupis tames what she wants, when she wants.
TygerDarkstorm's journal, following the adventures of Roxie Fairbanks. This is the orginial journal done in storytelling mode, as well as the second journal to be done properly. She got a new pet every five levels.
Lupis' first pet journal, following an orc named Brakara. Also done the "proper" way, whereas you switch your pet every five levels.
Lastly, the orginial, first ever pet taming journal and what the first few journals (I think they were Roxie, Brakara, and Solaira) were inspired by.
There you have it. The Pet Journals.

Woo, honorable mentions! -shot-
That was really enjoyable to read, as are all your stories
(though I forgot to comment on them)
You're really talented when it comes to writing stories. I look forward to reading more of Willoe and Hope's adventures

Methuselah: Oh my gosh, I don’t know what to say, that is so amazing!!!!! It really looks like a real journal

Thank you so so so so much! I can’t put into words how happy I am, you have just made my day with this amazing present!

I’m just going to be bouncing around on cloud nine for the rest of the day, now!
Azunara: Thank you so very much for going through all the trouble of listing and linking these! You all have much better journals than mine – mine wasn’t even a real journal, just an introduction

But it definitely inspired me!
Varethyn: You are so sweet, thank you so much! I love reading your journal, I just always forget to comment, too
To everyone… thank you again, so much! All of you amazing people here on these forums just make my day!

You're welcome. Don't worry, I started similar to yours. Sol starts out so differently, but she develops and changes as I got a feel for her. These really are fun and worth the effort though, so I'm glad more people are trying them.

Journal's have rules? You mentioned the "proper way" of taming a pet every 5 level. Interesting... I dont mean to clutter Gig's thread, but I will look into them.

Depends on the journal. Mine, Lupis, Tyger and Varethyn's journals all have rules where we have mandatory pet changes, because of the original first ever journal by Kurasu which is the bottom link. Simply point, they're a pet challenge. You don't have to do it that way, really.

Aww, what a sweet journal entry! I'm so pleased that little Willoe's growing into her character, in a manner of speaking. Hope's beautiful. But I really hope (hee, sorry) that Hope doesn't go all Vanessa Van Cleef on us, and turn into some enemy of Willoe's. If she does, Arit's got her back.
