Possible future for Alcaz Island in 4.3?

Copy and past from mmo-champion. Chat, discuss, more hope for hydras!
I was poking at the Patch 4.2 game files during the week end and it looks like Blizzard has a couple of plans for Alcaz Island, a new map "Scenario, Alcaz Island" seems to be in the game files.
It looks like the zone will be instanced at some point, and available as a "Scenario". I couldn't find anything else on "scenario" in the game files but it's very unusual to have an additional information such as this one in the name of the Map. The only exception is "Transport:" maps and we could potentially be looking at a new type of instance here.
The "Expansion" field of the Map.dbc is set to "3" and seems to point to Cataclysm content but there's also the slight possibility that it's early data from the next expansion that got mislabeled.

*snickers quietly at "spider gy"*
Alcaz Island might be phased, so the existing version might not change at all. Not to dash your hopes, but it's a possibility.

It could possibly forward the story with the naga for whatever xpac they are planning to have azshara be the final boss of, and would be the perfect reason to implement hydras since the island is filled with em >.<

naga should be a third faction.
*waits for you to stop laughing*
no im being serious, alliance and horde are two of the greatest forces on azeroth, in constant war with eachother. which other force would be large enough to actually stand a chance? The naga, the cursed night elves and their allies. they would be a great addition, first off they are already in the lure so we dont have to worry about really adding them, and they are fighting with both the alliance and the horde. a third faction would be interesting and unexpected.
Races
Naga
Murlocs
Forgoten ones
(add more in later)
Naga playable races
Warrior, hunter, warlock, priest, mage, shaman (maybe)
Murlocs
Warrior, hunter, warlock, priest, mage, rogue
forgoten ones
Warrior, warlock, priest, mage, rogue
meh... maybe im just babbling

If you had Naga as a third faction, you'd have to make Harpies their allies since we're on the subject of 'fallen' elves.

Technically Satyr were Highborne which were the predecessors for High/Blood Elves. But yeah, Satyr as Naga allies works....it'd also set the ground in motion for Xavius 3.0

Personally.. I don't think Blizzard wants another three faction setting like in Starcraft. But never say never I guess.

It would be interesting instead of another class/race, but it would be impossible to get a naga faction until azshara dies. Since she would be a raid boss.

Ehh, not necessarily. They could act much like Death knights, turning against their leader, and Azshara could still be the final boss.

ugh no more naga, naga need to be given a rest for awhile
but i do like the idea of them actually using areas that exist and have nothing going on. I'm still sad they sank the isle of dread instead finding a use for it

Well they have to do naga to build up for the azshara xpac, but who knows when that's going to be.

Could it possibly be a new caverns of time instance where we go back and help Varian?
Meh... Hydras!
edit: Or, rather, we go back in time and make sure Varian is kidnapped by the Defias. Crazy bronzies...
