ok ive been camping time lost proto drake for a while now and no luck but i want to no from some who camped him and got him how long his timer is and does he share a timer with tht big blue dragon i cant think of his name right now and any info about the proto drake will be very helpful

i cant say spawn timer because rares in northrend are all connected in a way (i.e. only a certain number of rares can be alive at a given time in northrend) and he does indeed share a spawn timer with Vyragosa the huge blue dragon, you'll see Vyra more times in your camp then you will want to in your life unless RNG (Random Number Generator) suddenly decides to bring TLPD out instead (so its completely random and by chance)

i think i have already ive been camping him for about a month but i stopped when 4.2 came out to get all the 10 new pets which i got after 5 days of non stop camping

Even Ponderance now says that rare cap is dead, if it ever existed (that last bit is my own addition I admit). Timer seems to have shortened, frequently to 3-5hr...something I can vouch for personally over the past couple of days, spotting TLPD then Vyra then TLPD again in about a 15-hr span of time.

When you say 'Rare cap' meaning the capacity of rares that can spawn at a time? And if so, was there a zone capacity or all of say Northrend capacity?

Supposedly there was a Northrend capacity. I never put much stock in the theory.

so ur saying its on a 5hr timer for tlpd??

For TLPD OR Vyragosa...and it's not a set in stone timer, it can fluctuate from as short as three (rarely, as short as an hour!) to as long as twelve.

Well I'm pretty sure Vyragosa (or whatever her name is) and TLPD share the spawn time/path, but that's about it. IIRC
