Its the second week for 4.2 and

7/7 normal content
3/7 heroic content

has already been done... anyone else think firelands was a bit to easy?

I've only downed 1/7 so I can't call it too easy.

Well, honestly? I don't think so. The vast majority of guilds and groups I've run into haven't made that much progress. Maybe it's because I'm on an RP server. The Firelands and Molten Front are remarkably lethal zones if you're not careful. Granted, I suspect short of bringing back Naxx 40's class stacking hijinx (You know how fun it was to beg for a hunter spot in a naxx raid outside of tranq shot fights? Not very) or 'ONE DUDE LAGGED. ALL 40 DIE' or some other horrifically painful gimmick, it can be very tough to challenge a group of determined raiders who have a lot of time to raid. Thank heavens they did away with stuff like resistance based or class based fights.

Meanwhile, mid and lowlevel guilds/pugs/alliances muddle through. Hopefully the heroic modes can keep the hardcore raiders busy a bit or they can throw in some SUPER MEGA DETH HARD MOAD type bosses for the peeps who dig that kinda thing.

Difficulty is a fine line to walk. You either risk being a push over, have to throw in horrible gimmicks or you have the metaphorical raiding rooster (Or other term for rooster) block. What's hard for one group isn't for another.

I wouldn't judge the content on where the top end guilds are. Judge it by where the middle of the pack and the bottom of it are.

With the PTR up, the harder guilds had weeks to prctice. It isn't too hard, imo. Haven't been in, but..

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't say it's too easy or over in any way! There are always going to be guilds that clear just about everything in the first few days. There's even a guild like that on my "Wut is raid?" RP server. But the guild I'm in has only just gotten through Throne of Four Winds, and we haven't even considered starting Firelands. It's all based on perspective.

Most of the people who finished a majority the high end content already are those people who treat WoW like a job so I'd say no. If casual guilds were downing everything super fast I'd say yeah. Not that I'm saying casual guild players are less skilled mind you.

Casual guilds have hardly scratched the surface.

Yeah we're kinda of a Casual guild. Our core raids maybe 8 hours a week and we're just 2/7.

Though Id have liked it if there was something else to do besides 5 dailies to pass the time. (Though being on a pvp server said dailies could easily take hours since Im ally on a horde dominated server. Saw the same Pally trying to finish his dailies he has started 12 hours before hand while I was on my hunter. Finished my dailies on all 3 of my daily toons while he was still trying to figure out how to get past the 3 rogues and 2 druids camping the outside of the sanctuary)

This subject would brew a shit storm on any other forum, which is why I don't usually touch it even with a long stick. ._. My guild is currently 4/7 and working to get Alysrazor down. I'm quite happy with the raid, but I do wish there had been more bosses. But, if it's gonna compensate and mean that we'll get our next tier a bit earlier, I haven't got much reason to complain (*fingers crossed*).
