My new friend Ban'thalos

Last night I decided to take a break from my week and a half long search for the apparently very shy Blue Madexx (have seen 2 Blacks & 2 Browns) and try for some of the new pets. An in game friend of mine already has Skarr & Karkin, so I decided to try to go for Ban. After a couple of hours camping, I queued for a random with my wife. After we got done, I noticed there were no other hunters in the area...uh oh. After a quick scouting check, I found one of the hunters that had been there with a shiny new spirit owl pet. Oh well, at least I knew the spawn timer now. (7:15ish pm server-Blade's Edge-US)
I normally wake up at 4am server (6am my time) to get ready for work, so I figured I would check this morning and see if he was there. I actually woke up at 1am server to the call of nature and bleary-eyed decided to log on and check. Nope not yet. I stayed logged in and dozed on and off until it was time to really get up for work. Ok, so maybe it was an hour after I was really supposed to get up for work...
After a few more minutes of waiting, I went to take a shower, knowing full well that he was going to spawn when I wasn't there watching. Sure enough, when I got back to the computer 15mins later, there he was! But, oh no, another hunter was there... I got a whisper from that hunter asking if you had to be BM to tame, I said yes, and he whispered back good luck then and flew off. Woohoo!
So now I'm alone hovering above the tree waiting for Ban to pat near me and hoping I don't screw it up. When he got near me I readied myself and threw a shot at him, nothing, another shot, nothing...ugh, dismount first dummy! By this time he had patted back away from me so I had to wait for him to come back. I kept looking around waiting for someone else to show up, there is no way I could be this lucky. When he got back to me again, I dismounted, popped my Flexweave Underlay chute and threw a shot at him. I realized as I was getting moonfire spammed almost to death that I had been a little too high, and was taking too long to get back to the tree. I finally landed a got a trap down just as he got to me. I hit my tame button and watched as my health was ticking down. Then the green flash and he was mine, with 2.6k health to spare!!
For anyone on Blade's Edge looking, this was at 4:15am server. I will post a pic tonight when I get home from work. If anyone has any name ideas, feel free to post them.
Edit: Named him Moonfire, since he seems to enjoy it so much
