I don't like my lava spiders. I own a green and a yellow one and both where from taming challenges. What should I do? I know I want purple but seems like the other two where forced on me. I know a guildy made me tame the green one cause I was there at the right time and the yellow one was saved from being killed. BAH!

If you don't like them, ditch them. Both those colors have common counterparts, and if you want them again, you still did the challenges, just this time you're getting an easier to find one. xD

Yes; if they don't work for you, they don't work. You shouldn't feel obliged to keep them. I decided to get rid of several rares I tamed because they weren't working for me.

I took them to the molten front and let them run back home <3

Funny thing was, when I let my green one lose, the rare green one spawned. It made me feel like it was actually set free.

Now I'm picturing kirix running foward then turning around looking at your akwardly. Turn back around and start eating people left and right.

Sometimes rares click and sometimes not. It's not your fault. :> I love my spiders more than I thought I would. But Skoll and I ... I dunno. I feel kinda guilty about it.

Not every pet will click with every hunter. Anthriss was at least saved from death, and Kirix.....well, he just took a little break.

Call me crazy again but I just turned down the gem kitty when it was up. Whats wrong with me?!

Sounds like you're not a fan of the MF rares. Nothing wrong with that.

I'm not a gem cat fan either. I thought I was, til I saw it. It looks like it has weird joints and mismatched parts slapped together. Just means there's less competition for the people on my server who ARE after it!

.....Just teasing! I've had plenty of rares I ended up not liking. Sometimes you don't know til you try it. Took me two times to learn that Loque wasn't for me, lol.

Ended up getting back Rex and Deathmaw again. -YAY FOR PETS THAT MATCH MOUNTS-

I remember camping Vile Sting in Shimmering Expanse for days on end back in the day but he never appeared. I was so gutted when he was removed in 4.1 as I thought I'd never have the opportunity to tame him again (I am one of those who will get the rare or nothing at all). When he returned in Cata I made my way to his new location straight away and finally tamed him, although I struggled to find in him at first. Thing is, now that I have him, we hardly click. I used him in pvp for a while but, even as tenacity, he died far too much for my liking. I just prefer a bird of prey for the disarm ability. I won't release him, I'm over the moon with his skin (looks a bit like Logue'nahak's) but I doubt he will spend much time but my side.

I tamed Kirix and Skitterflame just for the challenges and let both go although I kept Solix and of course Deth'tilac. (I had to tame Solix twice as I abandoned him the first time to make space for Deth) I tamed Karkin just to get him out of the way for Skarr (I just couldn't kill him so I practiced for the Skarr tame).

So no, you are not crazy. I know where you're coming from...
