Firelands: Bringing You In-Game Entertainment since 4.2

So! Let's have a show of hands for those who:

a) have watched tens of hunters run up and attempt to tame Kirix? Yep - drop a trap, oh, it's immune? Was obviously a fluke, so try again! But then again, who needs traps? Spam tame beast! Yeah, those 50 other hunters just didn't spam Tame Beast with enough hunterly essence. I particularly enjoy watching those who rez at the nearby graveyard and just keep running back with 50% health to /cast tame beast and die ... for the fourteenth time...

b) have watched non-hunter classes run over to pwn that rare for phat lootz? My favourite was some guy going off in general saying that Anthriss must be bugged and why wasn't it dying. I also like the ones who suicide under Deth'tilac's watchful glare.

c) have seen other hunters try to distracting shot and steal your tame but get one shot for whatever reason (I saw some guy distracting shot a Skarr tame - he got hit with the damage/tame interrupt... the original tamer got aggro back and their tame went off no problems after that LOL). Another bloke tried that with Deth but stood too close and sacrificed themselves for the greater good.

d) have seen people get smooshed over and over again by the spirit cats? Gee I wonder why it didn't work the first ten times.

e) have seen hunters repeatedly try to tame something and fail because, yknow, Skitterflame didn't mean to charge-and-one-shot you all those times previously :P Try again I'm sure it'll work!

Any others? :D

While camping for Kirix, my favourite pasttime was watching people fail at the jumping rocks. I swear, 80% of the people attempting it fell at least once, 50% of those fell multiple times! I would just cheer them on, /cry when someone fell, shadowmelded on my camping rock. Sometimes people decided to attack me, in which case I would just jump off my rock to gain the 100% haste buff and pewpew them to death while performing flashy moon leaps.

I like to sneak up on people while they're waiting for Skarr on the ledge and then call my Rhino out and horn toss them up and over the edge. It's mean yeah but it's not like I'm gonna take their spawn or anything :P

I watched the Kirix one for about 30 minutes the other day D:

LOL guys. xD Golden, it took me *so* long to work out how to jump between the rocks (there are a few that look like you "could" make it but you really can't, yknow?) and I felt like a total idiot whenever I fell off with someone watching nearby rofl.

Moore - mean but hilarious I must say :P

True that, I've been practising a LOT on them and still sometimes forget I can't jump up that one rock. XD

I ended up putting a non-breaking gearset onto my bars for quick switching if I happen to fall, just to avoid the huge repairs.

I was watching hunters trying to tame him too for about 15mins before raid.

It ended when I had to go at Kirix 38 kills to hunters 0

That upper ledge area is a nasty little monster, you can't go jumping too much there cuz you'll gt a random buff and launch yourself off the ledge. Not that this ever happned to me of course...

Heeee, I've seen all of what went down in the first couple of posts (except possibly the tame stealers dying). Additionally, Solix seems to be the other big one people decide to just pull and get pwned by. I guess because he starts in lava, that makes him easier...?!

Kirix is still my favorite. ;) MURDERATION!

Solix is nasty if your turn shot (for concussion) isn't down. Took me 2 spawns for me to tame him, although, his 2nd spawn I got him first try. xD

Edit: Also, I think they should beef up Banny, at least his health. I saw a douchebag Paladin steal Banny out from under 4 hunters, myself included, and just own him. I asked the Paladin what he was thinking, (well maybe a bit harsher words...) and his reply was "Shut fuck off them." I then tried to ask him if he was an ass, or just stupid, mostly b/c of that sentence, and the fact that everyone there, even the non-hunters told him to stop...

I think a neat concept for another tame (or even to implement on Banny) is that his damage is severely larger when Tame Beast isn't being channeled on him.

Yeah, it was hilarious like a monster truck rally with Kirix running over everyone. I even TOLD one hunter 'Don't shoot, just tame pull'. And what does she do like 3 times? Yeeeah...

Kirix in particular seems to bring all the hunters that don't know what they're doing over, to keep the hunters from the other faction from trying to tame it.

I swear I fall about 80% of the time trying to get to Fireplume Peak. I always did suck at platformers.

Aha, I caught a poor hunter from the opposite faction the other day while I was helping a friend of mine tame Solix. This guy saw Solix AND Us while doing the quest run through, came back, jumped in the lava and hit tame.

My guess is the poor guy was either misinformed or got his spiders confused. Either way, I think he embarrassed himself so bad he rezed at the Healer, cause he never showed back up again and actually left us alone. Took us a couple of deaths and a good 15 minutes to get coordinated, but my friend walked away with an orange spider AND a common green that day. He even named the green after me for helping him so much. xD

Kirix is by far the most fun to watch people try to tame! Wish I had in-game popcorn for the show, really, blizz should put a snack vendor one one of the rocks so we can sit there with munchies and watch the show!!

Deth'Tilac hasnt been that bad on my server that I've seen. About as many hunters seem to have it as it has spawned. Though when I went to tame it, I was mid-whispering a guildy to let them know solix was up and to ask if they wanted it. never got to finish the sentance, sent em a half whisper, and then was shouting in guild chat "HELP, DETHTILAC IS UP!! HELP!" Much to the laughter of my guild...But the hunter guildy I was whispering came to my aid...and despite my asking them to bring out thier pet and keep far from deth, they still stood under him...and died many times, along with my pet, but finally we brought him down to a tamable level and I managed to finish the tame at the same time deth strike went off and killed me. Was very happy to see the spider get smaller as I died.

I don't think my guildy understood the concept of staying away from the spider...or the significants of having a pet on the spider. Ah well, I explained it all to her afterwards...Sadly though the solix tame didnt end happy...dead spider...one to many traps.

LOL i have seen so much

1) Kirix punting people to death, and i mean ALOT of people
2) Ban moonfire spamming people cause they dont trap no matter how many times you yell *TRAP*
3) Skarr and karkin barragin and fireballin people to death
4) staring at the bodies pilled up around rare spawn points

In general watching people trying to tame the new rares like any ol'rare xD

Kirix is the most fun to watch, im sure dante loves it too.

Oh God. The bodies piled up under spawn points. I absolutely love running by Kirix' spawn location and just seeing a litter of skeletons. It cracks me up every time. I keep looking for him for a guildmember who wants him bad, and I use the number of skeletons as a hint as to when he last spawned.

"Sorry, Guildie. Looks like you just missed the Kirix show again."

I have a giggle every time I pass by a spawn point and see skeletons scattered about. Even helped a guildy tame Ankha after someone went 'WTF this white ghost cat one-shotted me!'

LOL, nice call on the skeletons! It's definitely a great way to tell if there's been a spawn if you took a break from camping for a few hours lmao.
