With more and more people unlocking more of the Molten Front, I expect this sort of behaviour to only increase from now on.

I can't believe that some people think that just because people are on a different faction is a solid, good reason to grief. Or at least I'm assuming that is why they killed him.

I'm sorry. The faction hate, particularly on PVE servers, is something I really really dislike... even more so when people just go out of their way to grief you. Sure if you're flagged or whatever, but doing your own thing and getting downtrodden on a server that by name clearly concentrates on progression and personal enjoyment is really low behaviour imo.

Having said that I've seen some appalling same-faction griefing and harassment. A rogue in general chat went out of his way to kill Anthriss recently because the hunters wanting to tame it wouldn't pay him. Thankfully he was advertising in general about the gold and going on about how he killed it from under the hunters so there was plenty of juicy reportable material.

I'll never understand why there is so much hate between factions. Hell, if it weren't for Varrian and Garrosh, we'd likely stop being in war by now... o.O

Personally, I think the hate between factions is ridiculous. As I said in a previous thread of mine, I saw some poor girl's Deth get ganked by notorious a**holes from the Hordeside on my server. I don't get why, in a non-PvP setting, people can't seem to get along, even between factions. I was horribly bummed out when an Orc hunter got the Deth tag before I did, but it's not like I'm gunna ruin her tame. In fact, I actually helped her kite him with Concussion shots and Dpsing him down. She happened to be on the biggest Raiding guild on the server, but broke the guild's stereotype by being extremely friendly, and was actually surprised about how 'selfless' I was. I wish that people wouldn't have to be 'surprising' to do good things, but it's just one of those sad facts about the game, and even Earth.

Now, in a PvP realm, or in Battlefields etc. I think it's alright to have at least some dislike towards the other faction, but I still don't see why if nothing is instigated, in a non-PvP situation, why such hostility between Horde and Alliance is necessary.

It's not hostility towards the other faction....it's hostility towards hunters. I've seen non-hunters of the same faction ruin hunters' tames by killing the mob in question. Seems like some people don't like that hunters can get something in this patch that their class can't and so they'll do everything in their power to prevent the hunter from getting it.

I actually think its both, other classes hate the fact we get "special treatment" so they go out of their way to kill it. Anthriss seems to get the short end of the stick alot, poor girl gets killed alot. Ive seen some pretty horrible people really, and sometimes its usually hunters who cause the most grief. Which is really sad because out of everyone hunters should know how it feels to lose your rare to someone else or watch it get killed. But the mentaility of "if I can't have it, you can't" just starts this whole war between hunters, cause needless to say the hunter who just lost that rare is now on the war path. And its a ripple effect with that hunter feeling he got cheated so he'll prevent anyone from taming it besides him or if he sees that hunter again he'll do everything he can to prevent that hunter from taming what he wants. It just continues over and over, until finally you no longer have to camp anymore.

Thankfully I havent had alot of that for the rares I wanted. But ive seen enough greifing to just be sick of it. And yes the whole "other faction must kill it" on a PVE server is wrong. Someone wanted to kill a rare cause a horde hunter was wanting it. I told them to sit down, shut up and let the hunter tame it. If you want to kill something go into a battleground and pvp. Ive even had a hunter yell at me for taming Anthriss because he wanted to kill it since it was a common skin anyways.

This patch has brought out the worst in people.. and its disgusting.

I guess I was lucky then, I kited Deth'tilac around the other side at around 12% HP just to find 2-3 alliance simply stared at me as I get last few % and start taming. My server is Tichondrius US so people gank anything with red name with little to no reason.

If it's red it's dead... nuff said

Red + dead is a fine theory, and I agree with it. But for the love of god. Kill me, and leave the mob alone.

... on a PVE server people tend not to be red (or yellow). If they are it's their stupid fault... but grow up and leave their tame alone.

so update he just spawned again and guess what the allys made him do it again

yay!!! when i tame my deth i had a same faction hunter decide to butt in on my camping spot which i had been at since 9:30 am. well at around 6;30 pm deth spawned right in front of me and i politely gave said hunter a couple seconds to wake up, he didn't so i tagged deth and the fun began he stayed with deth shooting and laying traps and trying to tame him, i kinda figured maybe he was trying to help me. but when my tame went through i thanked the couple of people trying to help and sent him a tell thanking him and found out he had me on ignore. i was surprised by that to be honest, alot of childish and cruel people out there i reckon!
