FINALLY got this little bugger after 5 fails in the past two weeks. Stood on the rock above him and casted tame, waited for him to be almost done casting his attack and hit deterrence, then tame. It was close and required a haste pot (225 haste elixir), but I got him without help, despite having a group of lovely Skarr campers/questers offering and cheering me on.

I've caught all the spiders now, and sadly had to let Anthriss and Skitter go to make room. But Deth, Solix and Hardmode Kirix will always have a place in my stable! Kirix was by FAR the hardest and most unpredictable tame I've ever done - Deth was easier!

Thats odd. Deth was the hardest for me, mostly due to gankers. Kirix tame went off without a hitch. He didn't evade when I tried the floating rock trick and it worked without even bloodlust or AH. I almost died, but got the tame off in time. Solix was also harder than Kirix thanks to gankers. People were kiting elementals into my traps, causing issues with Solix evading back to his spawn or the elementals dazing me and Solix killing me. I got him eventually, but it cost me about 80g in repairs thanks to dbag griefers and their oh so kind elementals that dazed me to death.

Grats on Hardmode. Heh. I was thinking of naming Solix that, but he eventually ended up with the name Dalinar, after my favorite character from a book that I adore.

That's a fantastic name for him. Just on principle!
