I GOT IT I FREAKING GOT IT OMGOMGOMG

...I was waiting for Skarr, went to do a dg, came back and a fellow alliance said that the crab had spawned recently so i expected a 6 hours wait at least. I went afk for like 30 seconds, came back and saw a mage of MY faction finish killing Skarr. (Since npcscan doesn't ring in molten front (do you know another addon that does?) I didn't know he had spawned that moment). He was all happy to have griefed us hunters. Now he's promised to kill him and all rares he find just to spite us. The entire general went after him but of course he didn't care.

...I don't know about the false crab alarm, but it hurts the most having this A-HOLE around. Now he's on my friendlist, and I wll warn general everytime I log to check the pets if I see him onine at the Front as well. It's a pain knowing we can't report him for this...

...They can say we have no life camping the pets, but HIS life is worse, getting off by griefing others...

Npcscan does work in Molten Front, if you add them in manually...but expect many false alarms from hunters doing dailies.

Well, I got Skarr 5 and a half hours AFTER Karkin had spawned, so just a heads up that the 6 hour timer isn't a promise.

Player behavior has gotten so bad that I wish Blizz would add harsher griefing/harassment policies, and not just with taming, but across the board. It's so bad that when I see a nice person, it feels like finding gold, or an angel among men.

Uhm, maybe I added them the wrong way. Perhaps should change the "place". Yep, probably in my haste I forgot Molten Front is basically another "country" and I wrote Kalimdor, that's why it caches them but doesn't ring, I think. XDDD Thanks, I can live with false allarms as long as it works.

Sigh, I sure hope I'll get him despit that a-hole, and if I do I swear I'll go find him and show him off in his FACE. >.>

Blizz should totally do something for the one who kill the new rares. They made these pets SPECIFICALLY for us hunters, so we should be allowed to report the non-hunters that kills them for fun... :/

Actually, people who are specifically killing these rares *can* be ticketed. Blizzard seems to have stepped it up this patch, especially if they're taunting you after.

Are you sure this isn't reportable?

It seems this patch brought out all the tards. I almost feel sorry for the people sorting through all the tickets. I wonder if they got a ''another hunter problem'' pile lol.

Uhm, well, he specifically said in general he'd do it. I even got screenshots just for the heck of it. I'll go check the forums and see if it's possible since there's proof. He did taunt us afterwards as well. I hope it's possible, even if he has to kill other rares as definitive proof he's doing it to grief...

Thank you all for the kind words. <3 I lost the last spawn to a fellow alliance hunter, but at least it was tamed so it got a home. I'm sure I'll get it, even if I have to put the alarm to 4:30 AM (saw it spawn that time) in the morning like last time XD

I had the same thing happen with Deth'tilac. Not to myself, since another hunter tagged him first, but still. This hunter kited him around, did all the work (well, I did help with traps and such) and then some dbag swoops in when he's ready to tame and starts taming him before the other hunter can even dismiss the pet that had been helping root Deth. Some people just need their hands held for these rare tames.

I dont know how I feel about the griefer thing, because it can go two ways. I mean yeah, killing a pet a hunter is trying to tame is a jerk move, but they arent hacking the game or anything. its just mean.

I mention that because I got one of my favorite pvp kills ever the other night. A horde was platforming out in firelands, and as he was about to jump to another platform, i Conc shotted him and he fell to his death. I was just using the enviroment to my advantage on a pvp server, but apparently thats a reportable offense =(

Loffter: On a PVP server, that's completely allowed. It might annoy someone, but it's generally the rule that you're allowed (although not obligated) to do this. You're not allowed to emote-spam someone, though, or some other things.

However, in this case, it's same-faction griefing; there's no PVP remedy for this even on a PVP server, so that's quite expressly forbidden. You can't go raise a posse and kill them until they log out or hearth.

oh, well that's understandable. I didnt taunt the guy but i sure as hell laughed. I've been trying to catch a horde jumping on platforms that collapse with an ice trap. I almost got it once, but he unfroze just a LITTLE too early and managed to escape.

Nothing new on Skarr, but today I did a series of random Zul Dungeons with fellow guild members, and I got both the Amani Bear (100 roll) AND the Razzashi Raptor (96 roll) mounts. I like to think the game wanted to lessen my sadness for the atrocious killing I had to witness.

Now I'll do BH (since it's rarely ours and I do need VP and gear for raiding) then it's back to camping. I know two spawn times at least, perhaps I'll get lucky one of these days.

Griefing is reportable.

I may end up reporting that mage if he ends up being serious about killing rares just to grief others. Thankfully, he wasn't online when...

two of my guildes who are freaking a-holes had decided to camp it with me and either kill it or tame it, whichever of the two saw it first. if they ended up killing it, I was prepared to denounce them to my guild leaders tomorrow (we were the only one online at that moment)...

...But lo and behold, they BOTH DISCONNECT from the game THE MOMENT SKARR SPAWNS.

...Of course, now he's mine.

I'm also happy my guildie didn't get to try to tame it. Not only he he didn't bother to learn the right tactics for it (wanted to use a deterrence/tame macro without silencing shot LOL) but also he didn't deserve it anyway, being in cohort with the other one just to spite me.

Seems today is "make shardust happy's day". Two rare mounts and pet. Yep, a great day indeed.

IMO, Skarr is the coolest of the 4.2 rares.
I tamed him today as well.

I got him late last night and then Terrorpene this afternoon. I think luck's going around!

Indeed it seems after WOTLK came out most of the community went down the drain. not only with pet grieving but also in dungeons, general and raids even. last Night I saw people killing a hunter who was taming Ban'thalos and killed the bird in his/her face.

I never grieve people if there taming a rare pet. If they get there first then they can try and i help them.
however I made an exception a couple of days back. I saw kirix spawned and was ready to pull and tame it then suddenly I get killed by a hunter who just riding in. So I was there in spirit form waiting for him to pull and start the tame when the tame was almost completed I scatter shotted his sorry ass and he died of the poison XD. after that we just tried taming it and he dint even come close in taming and kept dying. I went away to repair kinda expecting kirix to be gone. But when I came back behold Kirix was still alive and the other hunter was nowhere to be seen. so I kept trying and in the end I got a brand new spider

@stardust wow you got some nasty guildies heh if I would have people like that in the guild I am in I would have most likely left. But on the other hand our guild is pretty strict in cases like that as a guild were supposed to have fun together not screw each other over >_>.

Yeah, for me that's a message to the guild officers saying "Fix this or I leave."
