So, these aren't exactly new, it seems they were added a few months ago, but I'd never noticed them before so I thought I'd make a post about them.

In Deadwind Pass there are now spiders called Deadwind Widows, and they have the fantastic behaviour of hanging upside down from the stone arches over the road. I just love them! Such a great atmospheric addition to the area. I only found them as I was flying overhead today and saw one skittering across an arch, then discovered the sneaky ones lurking underneath.

When aggroed they will flip over and lower down on a thread with their legs hanging down. Spiders! <3

That is so cool! One more tiny little piece of atmosphere in the game that makes the whole thing better. I love finding stuff like that!

So freaky! It looks like these little guys got added in 4.0.6 or 4.1.

If you head more toward the river in the center of the zone, a bunch of these spiders also crawl around on top of the arches.



There are also some fighting some ogres in the southeast. O_o



That front spider is ALIVE, just fighting hard. xD

Clearly spiders are trying to take over the world...of warcraft.

This is why spiders and ogres should be mates! they could ride the spiders into battle!

I wouldn't mind getting one of those for Allesira when she's big enough. I really like those skins!

It's one of my favourites of the regular spider model skins. They seem so under appreciated, but they're a beautiful pale lavender colour. Very pretty!

They were added in 4.0.6. There are actually two NPC ids... the ones that attack the ogres (in programmed waves) are a different id to the rest of the ones in the zone. They're both tameable though.

<3 the devs who have a penchant for adding more dangly creepy spiders.

Patch 4.0.6, better known as Chatter's Revenge. *ducks* Those spiders attacking the ogres are probably a bit tricky to tame; the ogres seemed to be cutting through them fairly quickly.

I totally forgot to bring these guys up when I passed them on my last visit to Kara. XD I think it was the bf or something that noticed them and bugged me to attack them to see what their animation would be. Very creepy and very cool.

Dare someone to tame one and call it Brain.

Sniffle. I mentioned these in the 'changes in 4.1' section, even! Nobody listens to the dwarf.... :<

Actually, both you and Wain mentioned these guys before, Kuarasu, but this is the first time the forum's seen pictures of these guys, so the news only just hit home now.

It's this one and the deep purple skin that I'm volleying back and forth with for Aless. I'm planning on getting the Pride Watcher from Winterspring for her, and the deep purple will make the contrast, but the grey/lavender skin is a nice compliment with the Watcher. Oh, choices, choices, choices!
