got Mr Green hardest time yet for me

found kirix the green spider. i was only hunter in molten front on horde. i tried several technics. my first attempt the tame actually finished but i died after it and i didnt get the pet 
. that was going face to face with him and doing the disengage. rest of my attempts were on a rock. everytime he cast that stun near end of tame after my deterrance was done and killed me. after a spirit res i hearth to org and grab a steelskin flask and some dragon food. once i get back an army of ally hunters are amassing. i tried using my corehound buff and changing specs but the buff disappears and i need mm spec since i had more hp in it.
i decide to try once more face to face with rapid fire active. my deterrance blocks the stun and i see im still taming him. i get him with 24k hp left.
i hop up onto the rocks and see ally trying to tame skitter. i couldve ninjad it but i logged ally and explained that he needs to be frozen. he tells me wyrven sting works better, is that true?
