Just give us Malorne

There's a very small following of Hunters that want to see Stags as a tameable pet family, many on the official WoW Forums just believe it'll be unpopular. However, after see ghost-like Malorne by his Sanctuary in Hyjal, I think Blizzard should make a spirit beast with a similar skin like Malorne. Not an exact skin of course, they wouldn't want any one running around yelling "I tamed Malorne".
Thoughts? Maybe a hint at the lurker.

Stags? Yes.
Malorne or even a stag similar looking? Hell no.
Anyway, I remember there was a topic about this before that didnt end so well.

Very true, one side says yay and the other nay. I'm with the nays - it couldnt hurt to have a stag family or even upgrade their models a bit but.. to use a unique model meant for a very specific lore character is a bit much imo.

I'd like one as a mount. Just like I'd like a Giraffe as a mount. We have Talbuks though, and those aren't that great >.>

Heh, if hunters got everything they asked for, there wouldn't be any other classes, because everyone would be jealous, call hunters spoiled, and roll one instead. It'd just be World of Huntercraft. And that's not a good thing, folks.
Seriously, I can see maybe a Hydra family. I don't see a stag/zhevra/talbuk because those seem less like creatures to fight beside you and more creatures to ride. Sorry. Basilisks I can see. We will never, ever, ever, ever get dragons. Ever. And we will likely never get a skin that is used for a major lore figure.

I'm with nay... Though I would flip upside down kill everyone around and camp that model if it were tamable... it just shouldn't be.

I dont think Malorne model should be tamable, I would love the model as a pet...but at the same time I know that Malorne is something far above a hunter pet.
However Stags/talbuks/etc as tamable I am all for. I would absolutely love a talbuk or gazelle pet. Statistically speaking, Deer (family) are responsible for more deaths/accidents in Canada then any other animal. Not only from causing car crashes, but because they will also attack hunters, they attack anything that they view as threatening (I've been chased a few times by the deer that live in our city), and during rutting season they are even more aggressive!
I've been face to face with bears, and they never scared me. I've seen wild wolves up close, they slowed as they passed, but kept going. But Deer, they watch, they start to follow, the bucks snort and toss their horns if you watch them to close, and they start to come closer until you move away.

for those that cant see a stag as a fighting pet...MOTHS! we have MOTHS! those poor fragile butterflies of the night. Oh! and Sporebats!

Being as big of a lore character has he is, I think Malorne should have his own model. ;3 As far as tameable stags... Eh, to be honest, it might look a little silly. I think they'd work much better as mounts. I would love a stag mount. \o/

I just really can't see stags as pets, not because they're not fierce fighters, but because they strike me as more of a mount than anything else. Ditto with talbuks. Despite them being a challenging kill and a dangerous prey(at least to Orcs on the edge of adulthood, hah), talbuks are mostly used as food and mounts - it would be vastly more logical to stick with, say, your worg, than it would to have a prey animal with a questionable level of intelligence - you don't know if you can rely on it to defend you as fiercely as another pet would.
That said, I don't really think the models are up to par for petdom anyway. They're missing a few things, and the combat animations(for stags especially) seem kind of stiff and...empty, I suppose. Thye don't have as much life to them as some of our other pets do, which I suppose can't be helped - but I personally wouldn't want one. There's also the issue of pet sizing - you realize that your stags would likely not be towering over you where they look their best - they'd be shrunk down, and we don't know how that will affect things besides spurring a million Bambis.
As for Malorne, leave the poor guy alone. He's not allowed to bask in his own specialness for once? :P

Not exactly like Malorne, i mean similar as in an upgraded graphics to Stag. Maybe not as a family, but Id like a spirit beast for the small following of Stag-Fans lol.

Yank all the ornaments off Malorne, give him a plainer coat, and I think this model would make an excellent spirit beast.
Stags may seem an odd pet choice, but they are dangerous and swift. Crabs and boars are mostly used for food, too, but that doesn't stop them from being a tamable creature.

Ever seen a deer run? Yeah. That's one reason I don't want them as pets.
Family Skill: Bambi Run. Focus: 30. Paralyzes targeted enemy with helpless gales of laughter for 4 seconds.

I don't think stags would make good pets at all, not because they are not fierce, but because it just seems more like a mount than a fighting companion. However on that note tallstriders/crabs/sporebats don't seem like fighting companions and they are so if they were implemented, that's okay with me. I don't think Malorne should be tamable or his particular model, but if you did yank off the ornaments and give him a plainer colour I can see the model being tamable if they did implement a stag family because honestly, if you took off the ornaments and flashy colours he'd just look like a plain old beast.

Malorne as exact tamable skin I don't know tho I rather prefer a spirit beast stag I that looks similar with marks in the fur like Malorne with branches or leaves interwoven in his/her antlers I would love that
but on the other hand,
Tortolla is the turtle demigod and, much like Malorne and Goldrinn, an Ancient guardian. (from WowPedia)
and he has a has a tamable skin :S
so I am kind of surprised that no one is bothered by that.

Tortolla isn't as well known as Malorne. Malorne is a uber lore character.

But still

besides they gave him a unique skin as well. he might have been less known but known enough to get his own skin just with less ornaments then malorne.
personally I rather have a new skin myself instead of a simple copy paste tho.
but I wouldn't rage if there would be a skin available.
