Okay. I've been standing on the top of that infernal tree so long I'm starting to feel froot loops. There's many false alarms. One chick even keeps dragging her banny over, leaving, coming back... making me twitch! I clear my cache, do chores, run errands and fret. I grump, I chat, I play DS!

And I wait. Oh do I ever wait. And wait some more. Did I mention waiting? It took about oh, 14 and a half hours for the owl to show up!

NPCscan goes off. I'm hopeful but cautious. Probably someone with a p-- No, that's a wild spirit owl! A genuine one hundred percent owl! My heart is racing, my vision feels like it kind of blurs somehow. I drop my trap, hover up. C'mon, c'mon get in range. I don't like the looks of that guy or that guy or ... that druid is probably kinda shifty. Wonder if he washes behind his ears. So then the owl is in range. I recall all the horror stories about being nuked by moonfire of death. I hit it with arcane shot and fall neatly onto my trap. Icebird! One haste pot and a tame button later, I heard BWOOSH!

In my blindness I went WOOHOO! And jumped.

... right off the tree, leaving a draenei shaped crater by Malorne's statue. Whoops. But on the upside, I got an owl! And I think mine is a she. I ended up naming her Delirium since I have a Deth'tilac named Despair.

WE GOT OUR BAN'THALOSI(PLURAL FOR BAN'THALOS) ON THE SAME NIGHT WITHIN AN HOUR OR SO OF EACH OTHER AND WE CAMPED FOR THE SAME LENGTH.

Strangely, I tamed Ban'thalos while he was not trapped. I do not know how, but he didn't even try to cast his moonfire. Bug, maybe? Either way, good bug

Thanks! Banny is really growing on me. And congrats to you in turn! It's a tough camp.

What happened was:

1) BANNY APPEARS!
2) Novi drops trap, hits spacebar, waits for Banny and arcane shots. I drop off my mount and he hits the trap. Strangely no moonfire!
3) Once trapped, I popped a haste potion and went to town!

I got my Banthy by stealing it from a paladin.

Paladin tried to kill him, so I chase after and trap him, paladin dies but he's trapped so I start to tame.
Easy.


Now I can't decide whether to stick with Skarr or use Banthy more.
