Curiosity in Shadowmoon Valley

I dunno if anyone has pointed these guys out before:
Aracno-Scorp
I did a search for their name and couldn't find anything. These guys are friendly and coming up as 'Not Specified' out here in the Ruin's of Baa'jir in Shadowmoon.
I'm just curious, since I don't know BC well, what these guys might be since they aren't labeled as beasts and not on the Petopia site at all. Are they related to a quest out here?

Those are mounts or vehicles for a certain quest in Shadowmoon Valley IIRC. I never quested in that zone on my main (hunter) but I decided to check out the place on my warrior and came across the quest.

They are indeed for
this quest. They are friendly to both sides too, so they are not tameable

Yeah, they've been around since BC as a quest tool. And are also a lot of the reason why the skin is now used on mobs in Tanaris because a lot of people were all FFFUUUUU WHY CAN'T WE TAME THESE. (Including me, hurp.)
It's still one of my favorite scorpids.

You can tame their lookalike in Tanaris though.
