Oil Stained wolf just got better

Homeboy used to be brown under for epic lameness on mouse over. Now hes black under, for super sweetness! It did bother me when I would mouse over him and see him brown like WTF!

Hmm, the Oil Stained Wolves were always the black model as I recall.

They were definitely black in the past, just not as solid black as the oily coat.

So after I spend hours, trying the different taming methods I came here to get an update if this tame is still doable.
I tried the pet abandon macro, tried the rouge backstab way.. hours and hours.. no succsess
anyone did it lately ?

i'm pretty sure they implemented the Dec13th pet hotfix a few weeks ago. don't think anyone has been able to do the aura tames with the abandon pet macro. some have reported being able to do it with the quest, like oil wolf and flaming boar.
my oil wolf has always been a dark gray when selected or mouseovered. the bird has always been a dark brown.
