So, today, as I was checking for my rares as usual, Deth was spawned. I saw 2 hunters up there already, but decided to head up there to wait in the Deth-strike line, and maybe get lucky.

I started dpsing, and was planning on allowing the 2 to get first shots at taming, but I certainly wasn't going to steal a tame. Well, not on purpose. As the Molten Will dropped, I noticed a Horde hunter beginning a tame. I dropped my dps, but my Sting was still up. He noticed Deth had gotten a little too close for comfort, and decided to back up, and it evade bugged him, with me being the next on Omen...

Deth, being still at tamable health, was coming at me, and from what I saw, I thought that Deth strike had killed the Tauren, so what was I supposed to do but tame it? Unfortunately, with about a second left on the Tame bar, I see the Tauren hop up back onto the cracked earth platform, and /spit on me as the tame finished. I /sorry'd, and even went to my Ambassador B Elf to apologize, but by my 2nd message, the Hunter had ignored my Warrior Ambassador.

I do feel really horrible, and I hope the Hunter will read this here, but I can't say that I'm sorry for taming a pet coming straight at me, only that I did not realize the Horde Hunter was still alive. :|

Well hun he screwed up. Thats HIS fault. You waited your turn. You've no reason to apologize. You didn't steal it.

Hey at least you didn't kill it right in front of him....i personally find that would be more traumatizing.

Don't feel bad at all. That is how I tamed Ban'thalos, in a way. The alliance players messed up and somehow fell off the tree after tagging him, so he came down to attack, got stuck in their trap, but they were dead from the fall, so I either waited for them to figure out how to on the tree again (or take rez sickness and likely die) or tame Ban'thalos. So I did what any hunter would and tamed it (after somehow breaking the trap, maybe cuz the alliance players who set the traps died) and all he did was melee me. I felt bad for the allies, but they knew they messed up and didn't even make rude gestures at me or get on another toon to cuss me out, so I guess they kinda forgave me. They would've done the same, as would anyone.

So really, don't feel bad. It isn't your fault that someone else messed up.
