I was bored the other day and I decided to browse the Wowhead forums. Someone had posted an idea of naming a Hunter after a Pokémon character and calling the pets Pokémon names. I played Pokémon for years, and although nowadays I have mostly outgrown it (stupid Black and White, the Pokémon look horrible), I decided it might be something fun to try out. So I made Ásh, a human Hunter (the first 151 are the best ), on the EU server Alonsus.

I am looking for advice on the different pets that match up to different Pokémon (first 151 mainly), I currently have a Golden Eagle from Loch Modan (Pidgeotto) and Nix (Beedrill), as my Hunter is only Lv 18.

I am hoping to create a guild named <Gotta Catch 'Em All> or <Pokémon Masters> or something similiar, and if anyone wants to join feel free to create a hunter on that server (I know there's quite a few Pokémon fans here) (like Místy or Bróck ).

You cant really make a guild of that because Pokemon is copywrited by Nintendo, and using copywrited names for guilds/toons is against ToS. ^^;

Pet names they dont usually give a damn about but players and guild names they do.

Hmm OK, well the guild could still be made I guess but under a slightly less obvious name, and people could just create original character names I suppose. The basic idea would still stand hopefully.

Obviously a fox of some shake would make a good Ninetails or Vulpix. A serpent would make a good Gyrados. Naturally, pick up a cat for a Meowth or a Purrsian. Maybe one of the dogs (demon or otherwise) could be Growlith, while a runed one could be your Arcanine?

A blue worm would make a better Gyarados due to the underbelly coloring. Red worm for shiny.

Krabby/Kingler - Red Crab
Metapod - Green Worm
Arbok - Purple Serpent
Abra - Green Warp Stalker
Spinarak - Olive Spider
Dunsparce - Brown Spore Bat (Both are incredibly wierd looking, c'moooooooon!)
Corsola - Red Shale Spider
Slaking - Grey Gorilla
Torkoal - Terrorpene
Latias and Latios - Red and Blue Dragonhawks, respectively
Sandile - Yellow Crocolisk
Zweilous/Hydreigon - Purple Outland Chimera (Purple outland Hydra if they ever become tameable is best for Zweilous)

All chosen based on similarity, or as close as possible. Yes, I went through the ENTIRE pokedex.

Actually, there are some good lists over on the pokemon thread, about pets that would make good pokemon. I actually have a hunter on Nessinwary, Named her Unova, and her starter pet, the red raptor is Charmeleon. I'll go see if I can find the lists.

I actually got someone to hack a shiny female Dodrio for me and named it Hahadori because shiny Dodrios are green. >.> But anyways...

I actually have a one of the Runed dogs that I named Arcanine. XD

I am guilty of naming my Karkin as Metagros.

I was thinking Skoll as Jolteon rather than Mightyena, but yeah alot of that list looks good.

Bulbasaur/Squirtle (I know it would probably be better for Squirtle, but it's the closest thing to Bulbasaur in WoW pets) x)
