I logged on to do my dailies last night after I got off work. However, I was quickly distracted by Banthalos. There were people swarming him, but didn't touch him. He was actually there for at least ten minutes while my friend came to my aide in teaching me how to tame him. When a few of my friends showed up, they were relentlessly telling my how to do it and that's when people started swooping in to tame him. It's like.. if you wanted him, you should have tried in the first place!

According to the people there, there had been people waiting daaaaaaaaaaaays to get him and I stole him, but I don't understand how I stole him if they never even tried! According to a few people (on-lookers), he was there for quite a while and I was the first person to attempt to tame him.

Long story.. short? I obtained Banthalos. ^.^ Perhaps at the expense of future hunter friends, but nevertheless, he's mine. Now.. onto another feat. What to name him?!

Ummm no stealing a tame would be say they brought it down, trapped you broke the trap got the hunter killed then trapped yourself and tamed. Not you were on the tree, you tagged and pulled it down yourself to the trap and tamed it. So.. yah congrats on the tame but dont feel bad cause you didnt steal it. And are really just being ignorant and rude. Unfortunately haters are gonna hate..

I thought I stole a tame and earned the eternal hatred of two NElves, but it turned out to be their fault. We were all three sitting on the tree, Banny spawns while I'm afk, I come back to see my alarm had gone off. One NElf was afk, the other was flying up and tagging him. The NElf dropped, Banny became trapped, the NElf somehow fell off the tree and went splat, the other NElf unafks, tries to tame Banny, but also ends up falling somehow. I end up breaking the trap somehow (maybe it broke cuz they were dead, idk) but he starts meleeing me instead of moonfiring, and I tame him easily. The NElves just /shrugged at me after they'd rezzed and left. Pretty cool of them to admit they'd fucked up and just leave it at that. I got a free tame out of it. Didn't even have to move from the tree.

Well, two of my guildies had come to help me. One was a boomchicken (who kept killing himself [haha] to get him), and the other was a hunter telling me how to tame it. I sat on the back of the moose thing at the Sanctuary and one of the guildies tagged it so I could tame it and people were trying to kill Ban'Thalos and other hunters were MDing off of eachother to tame it. I didn't even realize I had him until he became larger and blue then shrunk down.

After that, I received IRL death threats from the 5+ hunters that were sitting there.

You didn't steal anything, if they wanted it they should have been attempting to tame it, if they're insulting/harassing you or whatever just report them since THEY are the ones in the wrong. If you showed up and insta-tame tried then MAYBE it would be stealing but if what you are saying is what happened then they are just jealous jerks. Congratulations on your tame.

Grats on the tame, btw.

If you received real life death threats, this can lead to a perma ban for those hunters. Seriously. Read the ToS. Report them. This is sick and wrong.

Not to mention, they could get in trouble with the law for actually threatening your life.

Grats on the birdie! <3 The other hunters should have been less passive in the first place if they were that interested.
