Jadefang! After never getting the quest for weeks of trying, I finally went into the Crumbling Depths today and there was the goblin! So I dashed over to wowhead, read the "how to get there" guides, exploded myself up onto the high cave ledge -- and only regular spiders. I hung around there all day, only leaving when my battlegrounds arrived.

And then I had earned enough honor to buy the last piece of epic gear, and somewhat regretfully and frustratedly hearthed and went home and picked up "Cataclysmically Epic". And then I bummed around Orgrimmar and had a bit of a sulk. I went to Uldum and half-heartedly dailied. I went and did my Molten Front dailies.

And then I thought, perhaps before going to sleep I should look again. And I did. And there she was.



I named her "Emeraldine".

I have to say, that screenshot, with the huge pink heart right on his name, is epic.

I got Jadefang and his mini-me out of luck. I was doing the dailies cuz I really wanted the ring from Therazane rep (this was a while ago) and I heard the NPCscan blare go off. I dismissed the pet, went to Jadefang's cave, and she was just sitting there, alone. I tamed her, logged off to do dailies on my 8 other lvl 85 toons, when I finished (which took a few hours) she was up again when I logged in! After asking in general if any hunters wanted to tame her, I decided I'd kill her for the mini-pet. A gnome warlock showed up around that time, but just /cried on me and then jumped out of the cave, realizing I was there first. So I killed her, and now have her and her baby. I love parading them around together. Its so cute.

I got the chest too. I'm going back every few hours to see if Jadefang spawns again so I can have the matching companion ...

Congrats on your squee spider, and Emeraldine is a lovely name for her! Good luck on reuniting her with her baby! Personally, I really wish Jadefang didn't drop the baby. :/

I am kinda split on this. The pet is so adorable, but it makes it harder for hunters to tame Jadefang because non hunters will be camping her for her baby. My mage appreciates his mini-jadefang, as does my hunter, but still...I feel kinda bad for hunters when I kill her on a non-hunter toon just for the pet.

I got Jadefang one day after I came home from school, named him WILLY

the next day after school he was there again, so I got Willy jr aswell!

they look helarious together when I am doing quests. Great buff to have when soloing stuff aswell. very good tank.
